The kid takes him to the ground, hard and fast, and the knife punches right through his throat. The man gurgles and blood sprays, and the kid's head snaps up, blond hair flying everywhere, as he gives the blade a final, savage, twist and pulls it free. He'd know those eyes anywhere. It's Jim Kirk.

"You can't stay on Enterprise, kid. I've got to get you to Earth," McCoy said. No. Jim wasn't going back to Earth. There was nothing for him on Earth. There never had been. Nothing good happened on Earth. He wanted to stay. Kirk picks up an unknown virus on the Narada and is quarantined on Earth while McCoy tries frantically to find a cure.

"I can fix this, Quill; just you watch. I can fix this. We'll be out of here in no time." Rocket rambles because he's afraid if he doesn't, he'll suddenly realize how totally and utterly screwed they are. No slash, just bromance with tons of Quill!whump! :D

When Sweets is preparing to move out of Dr Brennan and Booth's place, they bemoan the loss of his coffee, his blueberry muffins, and his free child care. Given how strict Brennan is with Jeffersonian day care staff, Sweets must be one ace babysitter! This one-shot is a peek behind the scenes at what Christine and Sweets get up to all day...fluffy, with angst sprinkles on top.
