Author has written 2 stories for Harry Potter.
What kind of stories do you like to read here on ff.net?
I’m usually up for anything within the Harry Potter theme. I have nothing against other fandoms, but HP has the characters and the world that I enjoy the most to spend time on. Despite the fact that I don’t really have anything against any literary genre nor any shipper inside this fandom, I would be lying if I told you that I have no preferences.
I usually seek stories which have Harry as the main character and also have some OCs in the plot. I also enjoy reading about Harry being paired with other characters that are not Ginny, though pairing him with a well-developed OC is always going to be my weak spot.
How did you come up with this crazy idea of pairing Harry with a muggle?
I’ve been having this thing about pairing Harry with a muggle, since well, since I can remember. The first time I did it was in a fan fiction that I wrote in 2001. I remember that I was still a school kid and it was before the fifth book been release. At that time, I played with the idea that Harry had a new neighbour around Privet Drive. Since then I have developed a special love for this HP/ muggle OC pairing.
I think that for someone who is always going to be known as an eternal hero, the boy-who-lived-and-killed-you-know-who, it would be a blessing for him to be able to find comfort in the arms of someone else who was completely unaware of his fame. Especially for Harry, who had always hated his status in the magical world.
The downside of Harry in a relationship with a muggle would be that this person would never be able to completely understand everything he had gone through, and what it meant to be dating Harry Potter. Unless, of course, this person where somehow became part of his world.
If you have a weak spot for this pairing, have a look at my community, where I have stored all the H/muggle I can find. If you know of any story with this pairing that is not there, please send me the link! I will most certainly have a great time reading it.
I’ve heard that English isn’t your native language. Where are you from?
No, it’s not. I was born in Brazil, but I’ve been living in England since 2009. More than just entertainment, I also use fanfictions as a tool to improve my own English – practising it here does make it easier to write university essays and articles!
The amazingly kind Litfreak89 is editing all my fan fiction work so it looks more like what a native speaker would write. Harry Potter has always helped me to improve my English in one way or another. I remember that it took me five months to read the fifth book in English… three weeks to read the sixth, and one day to read the seventh!
What kind of things do you like to do in your free time when you are not reading/writing?
I’m on my way to completing my Psychology BSc which I had to put on hold in when I decided to move country to be with my other half. I’m also a part-time mum a part-time wife. I also do occasionally work as teaching assistant or helping out with special needs charity here in London.
I also enjoy doing some patchwork. My next project in that area is making tulips made of colourful fabric. I also enjoy baking, and the only reason I don’t do it more often is because my husband doesn’t eat any kind of sugary stuff. But yeah, writing and reading fanfics are my main hobby.
Some people don’t understand why we do this; spend our time writing massive stories that can’t even been published. But we know better… ;) the fun we have is priceless, and if in addition we get to make some fun friends on the way, that’s a plus.
However, I’ve always had a saying that real life is always going to come first. That’s a real issue: when your hobbies take over your life, it might be time for you to seek specialised help. Fanfictions are a fun hobby to have, as long it carries on being only that – a hobby!
So… you told me that you are married?
Yes! Sorry guys, but I’m already taken. But he is not a jealous type, and I’ll very likely to love meet you up for a coffee at any time you are around in London. Few things in the world are more fun than discussing HP with crazy people like me :)
If you have read my profile up to this point, I believe that you are very interested in getting to know me better. If you were brought here because you’ve read one of my stories, why not leave me a review/ send me a private message and brighten up my face with a silly smile for an hour or two? You will lose less than a minute doing that. I’ve probably spent a good few days (or months!) writing it…
If you were brought here because I’ve read and commented/ favourited/ followed your story, thank you very much for writing it!
