Author has written 22 stories for Star Wars, and Sound of Music.

I've been writing since my age was a single digit, and movies soon became a focal point of my imagination. I spent hours upon hours fantasizing about my favourite films, picturing the scenes I liked the most in my mind, and coming up with new scenes that would expand on what I had seen.

I became a Star Wars fan (and coincidentally Sound of Music too) when I was 13. The relationships depicted on the big and small screens have always fascinated me, the way the characters relate to each other, their capacity to love, hate, be faulty, forgive, learn and become bigger than life became sort of an obsession. Until, one day, after watching Anakin's death scene in Return of the Jedi for the umpteenth time, my heart couldn't stand it anymore. The need to give Luke back the father he had lost just after getting him back took me directly to my keyboard, and a few weeks later "Salvation" was born.

After that, something was definitely unleashed within me, and I simply couldn't stop. More stories continued popping up in my mind, and I had to write them down. Looking back at those first stories now, I realize how much I've changed, in real life and in my writing. It took me a few years to learn the value of toning things down, and holding back my tendency to gush like a firehose, but I guess in this life everything goes by trial and error, doesn't it?

One thing that hasn't changed is my need to delve as deeply as I can into the characters' psyches, the need to understand and explain what's going on inside them, why they do what they do, how they became what they are. We human beings are all about feelings, about passion, about the bonds we formed with our families, friends and loved ones; and how they transform us, define us, how we end up seeing ourselves reflected in them, and through them.

I'm perfectly aware of the fact that my stories won't be everybody's cup of tea, and they shouldn't. We're all different and as such, our different tastes define us as individuals as well. This is me, this is how I write; take it or leave it.

I hereby invite you all into my world. Thank you for your time and whoever you are, know that I'm honoured and grateful that you chose one (or more) of my stories as a travel companion for the time it took you to read it.

And before I forget, no, I don't own the rights to Star Wars and The Sound of Music. I'm just happy to write about them and immerse myself in those different universes whenever the muses strike.

Shy Snootles.
