I began writing fanfiction stories in the autumn of 2010. However, I started reading fanfiction as early as the spring of 2009, around the time when I started having English issues.
I wasn't always a decent writer, my work was much of the time subpar, mostly due to being unmotivated. I constantly made B in Middle School and I kept metaphorically beating the crap out of myself trying to figure out why I couldn't produce a sliver of motivation to actually write stories. I loved books and I always wanted to change the ending or events within these stories, or simply tell my own. I just couldn't figure out how to get my ideas from my mind to the paper.
It was on a random day, I can't remember when I discovered Fanfiction, but it was probably during a time when I was searching for Percy Jackson fanfiction and I started to get really into it. Soon I branched out into Pokemon, and later Halo. My first fanfiction piece, "Memoir to 117," was actually a short poem I wrote for my English class. I kept the references vague enough that my teacher couldn't figure out what the topic was beyond something remotely Biblical or from the European Middle Ages. I created my account in, I think October, right before Halloween, and from there things got interesting.
My first stories were Pokemon, I posted my two Pokemon stories, Pokemon: A Soul Adventure and Pokemon Adventures: Dimensional Crisis, while both were a start, I had utmost hate for both. I was going to post a third Pokemon story, basing off a coming-of-age movie from the '90s, but I never posted it because I had a personal issue with the idea and eventually I deleted the drafts.
I ended up completing both stories and posting my Memoir piece for Halo, then I discovered crossovers. I branched out into Halo-Star Wars and Halo-Mass Effect in 2011 and 2012 respectively under the names: Halo: On the Frontline and Halo: Revelations. Both were quickly deleted after 6 months of work and I gave up, however, their use eventually inspired my first major project, Beyond Contact.
Beyond Contact is my first major undertaking with about 200 followers and almost 200 favorites, it has a total of 4 chapters running 30k words but has yet to break into crossover territory. It's had 3 major story updates with full fresh resets but has remained mostly the same over the last 2 years. I don't know how long until this story will be complete but I take my time with it. Truthfully, its what inspired most of my other stories today focusing on realism and action, two of my current strong suits.
I've posted more stories lately and I currently have a tally of 9 as of the beginning of 2015. I've written for Halo, Battlefield, Pokemon, Mass Effect, Star Wars, and Sword Art Online. However, most of these stories have disappeared because they were deleted because I was not proud of the work and the ideas were already attempted successfully so it made my work feel redundant.
One of my major abilities in storytelling is creating original ideas, at least in my personal opinion. I prefer to do things that most people would not do. Some of these ideas include a very different epilogue to Battlefield 4 with a American Independence Day setting, a Rainforest Wars Novelization from Halo, a Mass Effect story where Humanity has been struck by an extinction level event and its the Citadel Council that discovers Humanity, not vice versa.
I'm currently gearing up for another long series of rewrites for almost all my stories so if I appear inactive, its because I'm all over the place and I'm having a hard time collecting myself between school and my other priorities. I can be found on PokeManiacs Forums, they're a pretty cool Fanfiction community that does pretty much everything Pokemon. I tend to do swimming, running, basketball, and airsoft as sports; I am also a big video game player but I don't want to reveal my gamertag for privacy reasons.
Beyond that I create ideas out of thin air and have a hard time to produce stories from them with how little time I have to write, if anyone needs ideas for new stories or existing stories, I'm happy to obliged. As for my English class, it's probably my best subject these days besides History.
Fanfiction for me is a hobby, one I greatly enjoy and a community of great people that transcends borders and cultures, I write for myself and I write for anyone that wishes to read my stuff. I appreciate everyones' opinions, and really hope to get reviews from people.
