I will probably not update for this story in a while.
I remember, back when I first started writing for this story. It was meant to be a small diversion, something fun to take away from the seriousness of Fatal Cures. Then it got bigger, and bigger, and somehow became what it is now. Now I have people telling me exactly why they dislike Catch as a character, or how she's so mean to poor Red, etc. People telling me that Catch is too OP, that she needs to be more OP, etc. I've gotten flames, both through reviews and through PMs, and I found out, I don't like them. They take away all motivation I have to write or do anything, and make me want to focus on something else instead.
And then there's Catch herself. She's falling apart in my hands, and I never realized just how stressful it was to write an unstable character over a stable one. I figured it'd be cathartic, but it's not. Basically, writing for this story gives me more stress than it takes away now.
Until I can think about this story without wincing, I probably won't write for it. Also, this latest chapter is being problematic, so yeah that doesn't help either.
For now, I'm gonna focus on Carrying Fate and Fatal Cures.
"There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed."
"Stand up and walk. Keep moving forward. You've got two good legs. So get up and use them. You're strong enough to make your own path."
"Family is the society that you came into contact with first, the people who will influence you first. But if that first society banishes you, there will be another society that accepts you."
"It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities."
“Sometimes, when I clean a kill, I feed Buttercup the entrails. He has stopped hissing at me.
"The Road goes ever on and on
"Look inside. You were crying because you lost him, not because he is lost. You were crying because this world is suddenly less full than it was before. And that is a fine reason to grieve. But be aware of that fact. You were crying for yourself."
