Penname: When my friend was away in Europe during summer break, he brought me back this beautiful little trinket. He knew that I had a particular liking for Greek Mythology so he brought me back this black locket that had the name 'Ariadne' inscribed in it. She's most known for leading Theseus out of the Minotaur's Labyrinth with a piece of red thread to mark the path. I keep it with me at all times, and believe it or not it helps me heal my writer's block.
What Shall You Call Me?: Oh, just 'Aria' is fine.
News/Random Ranting Corner (April 1, 2014)
/././ Gosh, April Fool's Day makes me so paranoid...
/././ Going to be doing a master post of all stories in the coming weeks (sorry, college blows and I'm always working or sleeping -.-)
/././ I'm finally kickstarting my Tumblr account!! You can find me on ariaslocket.tumblr.com. And to celebrate the fact that I finally jumped on the bandwagon, I'm going to try my hand at Taang Month. Which means one prompt everyday for the next month. Quite an endeavor, but we'll see how well I handle it. If you want to see the prompts, I posted them on tumblr. Feel free to join me. It should be a lot of fun.
/././ Irrelevant Tidbit of the Day: I'm reading all the chapters of my midterm five hours before the test. I am exhausted but hopeful (and praying for that curve).

Semi-Important Facts You Might Want to Know:
/././ I'm female. Thought I'd mention this to avoid a possibly awkward situation...
/././ I've had a Fanfiction account before that is years old and filled with old and oddly written stories from my youth (err...actually, more like three years ago). So, I know my way around this place, even though I haven't been here in a while.
/././ I love reviews. I crave them. I secretly have a shrine worshipping them in my closet. Really, go check. That's the one thing that will win my heart. And I have a habit of reviewing for those who review for me. So everyone wins!
/././ I'm am the world's largest procrastinator. On top of that, I have a very busy weekday schedule and often use the weekends to catch up on sleep and sanity. So you can imagine how horrid an updater I am. So, forgive me if sometimes I'm a tad late with updates and it seems like the end of the world is going to come before I decide to post another chapter. I personally hate it whenever people leave stories unfinished. So I pledge not to do that. And no, it won't take me ten thousand years to finish either.
/././ I don't have a particular genre I enjoy writing over another. I'm a romance/drama/angst person. Sometimes a combination of the three. Then again, I have written some pretty disturbing on creepy things on this site that have made people's skin crawl. So, I guess it depends on my mood. What I write is up to my inspirational muse to decide.
/././ I don't come here claiming to be a professional writer. Writing is something I only do for fun and I don't mean to make myself seem like some expert. So if my writing seems amateurish and in need of major improvement, just know that I'm somewhat of a neophyte when it comes to writing. I have a lot to learn, and I thought this would be the perfect place to get in some practice and have fun.
Aria's Favorite Fandoms
Avatar: the Last Airbender: I have to say, this was one of the most unique and beautiful American cartoons I have ever seen. The character development, the captivating story, the wonderful animation, and the inspirational messages that I got from watching it simply took my breath away. Simply amazing.
Adventure TimeI'll admit, I thought it was a dumb show when I first heard of it and now I feel horrible for ever doubting. It's whimsical, silly, and kooky, but there are a lot of episodes that are filled with a lot of heart wrenching topics and the characters (when you really notice them) are deeper than you think. Plus you can't ignore the thematic undertones that go beyond a children's cartoon.
Kuroshitsuji: A hauntingly dark yet enchanting manga. Added to the fact that I'm an avid fan of anything Victorian, the plot line was just so breathtaking that I couldn't stop reading it. Plus, I'm in love with Ciel and Sebastian. They're my favorites and I can't get enough reading about a little thirteen year old master and his demon butler.
Death Note: A classic in my opinion. I don't know one anime fan who hasn't at least heard of Death Note. Such a creative and interesting story and I love the whole detective and reasoning aspect of the manga. It changed my outlook on humanity and what is really good and evil. Very deep, I loved it.
Bleach: When I saw the first episode with Ichigo and Rukia kicking off the entire plot line for this anime, I fell in love. The humor, the fighting, the emotions, the action...it's just amazing. I'm obsessed with Soul Society and probably still will be even into my old and crippled years.
Ao no Exorcist: I must admit, the love for this one caught me by surprise. The idea of the son of Satan trying to become an Exorcist to defeat his father is rather interesting. Plus, Rin's attitude reminds me of my best friend, so I easily grew to love him! And...well, human-demon hybrids are neat!
Elfen Lied: A very gory, yet sad anime. I enjoyed the lighter and funnier moments of it too. And, well...Lucy was really cool.
Deadman Wonderland: Another squicky/disturbing/flinch-worthy anime, but I still like it. It's definitely one of those mangas you keep reading just know how things progress despite how disturbed you are from the whole plot.
Chocolate Cosmos: I'm a sucker for the Student x Sensei mangas. They're just downright adorable.
Junjou Romantica: Yeah, so I'm a yaoi fan. Like that was much of a surprise since I'm sure 90 percent of the female population is as well. This manga is just so darn cute, the characters are amusing and beautiful in their own rights, and the romance between all of them is just gorgeous.
Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi: Same person who created Junjou Romantica, and it is absolutely amazing. Totally different characters and set up and it's just as adorable and filled with funny, romantic, and steamy scenes as her other manga. Brilliant work, I love it to pieces.
Ouran Highschool Host Club: Ridiculously hilarious. I mean, this show has had me on the floor in tears laughing. I love all of the characters in that anime and I always re-watch whenever I find the time.
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya: Haruhi is my hero. Enough said. She is my role model and a perfect example of the kind of people I like: exuberant, passionate, and not afraid to be just a little out there. Another anime that is just too funny for words.
Rozen Maiden: I thank my ten year old sister for showing me this one. I heard it was about talking dolls and I thought it was just another one of those weird girly animes she likes watching. But it was so beautiful and heart wrenching that I was immediately proven horribly wrong. The whole idea was unique and I loved every minute of it.
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni: A murder mystery filled with crazy, homocidal children living a seemingly normal existance. The things that happened in this show were so creepy and bone chilling. It's one of my favorite animes to date.
Jigoku Shoujo: Another creepy anime that really captured my interests. Just goes to show you what people are willing to do in order to get revenge.
Hm...that's it I suppose. I don't really have anything else that's worth saying. Please read to your heart's content and I hope you enjoy my stories. Bye Bye!!
