Poll: For those who've read my Harry Potter story so far, should I adjust the characters' ages for the 20th or 21st century cause I'm trying to tie into a crossover story of sorts. Vote Now!
Author has written 10 stories for X-overs, Harry Potter, Mortal Kombat, Power Rangers, Castle, TV X-overs, and Marvel.
just a guy looking to do in life some things.
-Slytherin Gryffin Marriage: I've been trying to figure this one out lately. On the one hand, people like it cause it provides a different take or information. By that I mean people like the idea of Harry having relatives and actually getting help. Downside is that people hate marriage contracts and my first chapter was redundant and there are cliched things in there. They're right when I think about it but the people who reviewed so far liked the idea I had and there is potential I'm scratching at barely. I'm probably going to take this down and rewrte it. Or just completely scrap it and put a different view on it. I'm still going to have the same pairing and characters, but maybe w/o the contract cause that's a tough one to do and few can actually pull that off. In fact, I'm going to write something entirely different but that's not gonna happen anytime soon. It's definitely a struggle to get something written down and stick with it. I can now get an idea of how it isn't so easy to write down ideas and putting substance to it. It's gonna change now with this story so we'll see what happens.
-Harry Potter/Marvel Universe crossover: this one just started to pop up due to the recent spate of movie trailers for Marvel comics, specifically Thor and Captain America. It started from another story before I read, Bouncing Soul's crossover stories, one with Captain America and one with Iron Man. There's a lot of characters for HP to use and I intend to write HP characters into the Marvel universe. The only issue is if this is going to be an actual crossover, a la 'Harry Potter meets Tony Stark and becomes a superhero, joins the Avengers' stuff or if I'm gonna write a story but instead put Harry Potter as one of the Marvel heroes like Thor or Captain America. I mean, think of it this way, would it be too outlandish if Remus Lupin played the role of Dr. Burt Connors, only instead of the LizardMan he'd be a werewolf? The HP characters could definitely be used in ways they were never portrayed before in canon, especially for minor ones. Anyway, I intend to use the Marvel universe storylines but use Harry Potter characters, but I might actually make them legit crossovers.
-Stargate SG-1/Mortal Kombat: I want to make an original story but focus on SG-1 first since I haven't gotten to see really much of Atlantis or even saw Universe. It might have a crossover or pop up guest characters, but we'll see. As for the MK idea, well, it'd be funny to have the usual dimensional jump thing where the characters of one franchise end up in the world of another. Plus, I could just imagine Jack O'Neill getting jealous at Jax's mechanical arms or the martial arts of the characters, while the rest of the SG-1 team have their own interests. We'll see how that happens. Actually, I put up a little crossover one shot of MK with Harry Potter, but that might change a lot. This is on the backburner for now.
This is just a couple of ideas so far, hope I can get to it.
