Author has written 12 stories for Harry Potter, Sense and Sensibility, and Hobbit.
Hello there :)
Well, I guess introductions should always come first, so my name is Dimmadome07 :) I'm currently studying visual communications with a concentration in graphic design, and I'm really excited to see where things go from here :)
The most important thing you should know about me is that I am a follower of Jesus Christ, and although I won't be the one to shove Him down your throat without any regard for your feelings or personal convictions, I do my best to reflect Him in my work, even in stories where I don't necessarily talk about Him. Faith and compassion tend to come up a lot in my work, so if that's not really your thing, please be respectful because it's MY thing :) .
In what many might see as a contrast to my faith in Jesus, I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, but I try to be fairly subdued about it. To me, they're fantastic stories, but I don't treat them as anything more than well-composed stories. I feel that it can be dangerous to take it any further than that. Many of my Christian friends have criticized me for being interested in the series, but in all honesty, I don't pay much attention to the magical aspect. I'm much more of a people person, and I love to see the human condition reflected in each character. I love to dig deeper into a person's emotions, and JK Rowling does a wonderful job of giving some deep characters to dive into, especially Snape, who happens to be my favorite.
As you might have guessed, I'm an Alan Rickman fan as well. I'd love to sit down to coffee with him someday and just let a conversation flow for an hour or two. He seems like he would have some awesome things to say, and I'd like to just get to know him as a person, not a famous celebrity.
Horses are also a huge part of my life. I currently own a beautiful 16 hand buckskin paint horse named Lakota :3 He'll be 16 this May and he's my pride and joy. We do western pleasure and a little reining here and there every once in a while, but our strong suits seem to be hunt seat and showmanship classes :) I've been leasing him for 5 years, but I've been riding for 7, and I absolutely love it. I've never been super athletic, but I've always wanted to feel graceful, and horseback riding has helped me to do just that. I take a lot of personal pride in my achievements as an equestrian and I feel very blessed to have such a good horse to work with. We have days when we're at each others throats, and we have days where we stand on top of the world together. It's a risky sport, but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world :)
Well, I guess that's all I have :) Please feel free to message me anytime for whatever reason, and I hope you enjoy my work!
