Author has written 11 stories for Fullmetal Alchemist, Fairy Tail, Little Prince, and A Midsummer's Night Dream.
I am an aspiring writer under the nom de plume, Noble Voyager, previously known as LuminousFaith97.
If you don't have the energy and patience to read my long-winded profile, feel free to skip this part. :)
To start off, I am a Christian and an Asian. I'm 16 years old and a tenth grader. I happen to be a simple, serious, introspective and competent person who also has a magnanimous and kind-hearted personality. I can be quiet and reserved most of the time but I still do my best to reach out to people. My dream is to become a prolific world-class writer who will publish excellent books someday.
Books: I LOVE reading with a passion, although I only started liking books when I was in 5th grade. I used to hate reading books back then because I didn't have the energy to do so. But after attending my very first writing workshop 5 years ago, that ignited my desire to read in the hopes of widening my horizons in life. I prefer introspective fiction, fantasy, and sci-fi. I also like reading biographies and spiritual books. My top 3 as of now are the Narnia Chronicles, The Little Prince, and The Hunger Games Trilogy.
Movies: YES! Anything by Pixar, Studio Ghibli, and Disney, I'd definitely watch. I'm a sucker for cartoons and animation. More than the graphics and the animation, they have a way of reaching out to audiences of all ages through the stories they want to convey. I'm not much a fan of live-action films, but I guess some are excellent as well. My favorites so far from each of the animation studios I mentioned are Up! (Pixar), Princess Mononoke (Ghibli), and Meet the Robinsons (Disney).
Music: I couldn't live without Music. Whether I'm high in spirits or down, whether I'm struggling with something or just plain relaxing, music is like my sweet escape from reality. I like anything with a good message - Christian or secular, it doesn't matter - but I also listen to upbeat music for the sake of getting out of my slump. I don't really have a favorite, but the ones that are stuck in my head are The Fray, Paramore, Linkin Park, and Trading Yesterday.
Sports: Uhhh... No... Just no. I'm probably the last person you'd want to talk to about physically strenuous activities. It's just not my thing, but I still try. Haha. XD
Anime/Manga: To all the otakus out there, feel free to welcome me to the club. Hehe. I love watching anime and reading manga. The Japanese culture in general somehow fascinates me (talk about Japanese aesthetics). You can really see their identity in the anime/manga they create even if some have Western influences. My ultimate favorite is Fullmetal Alchemist - undeniably the best shounen ever created.
Pairings: Oh, yes. A seemingly serious and introspective person like me is also an inner fangirl and gets the feels as well. Lol. I prefer canon pairings or basically anything that's implied to be one or has some indication in the canon. I absolutely detest incest, gay/lesbian romances, and pairings that have a huge age gap. I don't blame you if you like it, but if you're looking for those kinds of things in my stories, I'm sorry to burst your bubble. I hate it. Period.
1. Royai (Roy x Riza) - My ultimate favorite anime pairing EVER! I really love how they're so committed and dedicated to protecting each other. The suggested love and simplicity of this pairing is what I love the most.
2. EdWin (Ed x Winry) - If you think the concept of best friends becoming more is cliche, well, apparently this pairing deviates from that stereotype. It's more than just that. A much deeper relationship hides behind their constant and childish bickering.
3. SasuSaku (Sasuke x Sakura) - Feel free to disagree, but I honestly find an incredible depth in this pairing. If you try to analyze it more deeply, you'll find out that they're actually made for each other. Even if Kishimoto-san thinks otherwise and made NaruSaku as the official pairing in the end, that wouldn't change the way I think of this pairing.
4. NaruHina (Naruto x Hinata) - Opposite romances fascinate me, and this pairing is one of them. They're so different and so alike at the same time. Both of them have tragic backgrounds, but they have different responses to it. They silently believe in each others' strength. Their personalities complement each other as well.
5. Jerza (Jellal x Erza) - This is a very tragic pairing, indeed. But what makes it so beautiful is that they still find their way back to seeing each other again, which makes it clear that they're meant to be together, even when the circumstances show otherwise.
Moving on to my writer's profile...
Writing: I love writing and reading, to begin with. I take it very seriously since it is my passion. As I have said, I aspire to become a world-class writer with standards of those that match C.S. Lewis, Charles Dickens, William Shakespeare, F. Sionil Jose and more. I also dream of being able to write a classic someday. And I feel that FanFiction would somewhat be a good practice since I have the freedom to learn from other writers and let my imagination flow through conceptualizing my own works. As a budding writer in general, I tend to explore what I am writing in a deeper perspective and be creative in my own ways so that by the time my dream of becoming world-class finally comes, I will be able to go beyond my standards. I'm kind of slow when it comes to writing stories. I'm not a speedy or fast writer or anything of the sort so you can expect some updates on multi-chapter stories to be sporadic and slower than usual (that depends on how inspired I am).
Inspiration: What inspires me to write would probably be a combination of abstract and concrete things. When I read something that left me with a captivating message or listened to something very inspiring and amazing, I take my time to think it over. Everyday real life situations would also inspire me to write. After that, I combine something that is abstract and something that is concrete to come up with an overall well-written piece. Struggles and hardship matter to me a lot when I write.
Genre: When writing stories, my genre would usually revolve around angst. I am the kind of writer who writes about darkness because I want to show the light. That would usually be my theme when writing stories. Also, I feel that I have the capacity to captivate and inspire people through poetry. So expect a lot of poems from me. I also tend to explore other genres that some readers prefer so that I will know the different markets.
Reviews: What I really appreciate about this site is that it included reviews. It helps the writer learn from the readers so that he/she will know what's working and what's not. I would truly love it when people take their time to review my stories. Whenever feasible, critical comments and constructive criticism are preferred because a simple "I liked it" will not mean anything that much. What does the story have that made you appreciate it? Negative feed backs will also be welcomed but I will not recommend rude comments. Overall, I appreciate readers who review with a critical eye. I will try my best to do the same as well.
