Author has written 10 stories for Twilight.
With my sincere apologies, I have had to mark Only by Moonlight as ON HIATUS. I do not know when or even if I will return to this story, but I also hate to take it down. Currently I don't have the physical, intellectual, or emotional energy to continue this story. I am so sorry that I have let some of you down. I hope that I will be able to continue it in the future as it remains dear to my heart. Thanks for all of your kind support through my illness; you all are amazing! :)
I am a Downton Abbey and Jane Austen-addicted Twi-Mum who writes fan fiction for relaxation when I should be preparing classes, grading essays, homeschooling our kids, editing books, etc. In other words, writing fan fiction has raised me to a whole 'nother level in the fine art of procrastination. :)
I live in the mountains east of San Diego, California, with my husband, four kids (ages 24, 21, 19, and 17), and our miniature dachshund, Dashwood. Besides my faith, my family, and my friends, reading and writing are the loves of my life. I received a B.A. in Literature in 1988 and a Master of Arts in English in 1991. After a stint in my dream job (an adjunct instructor in the Literature Department at a small Christian liberal arts university), I elected to quit teaching at the university in order to home educate our four kiddos, three of whom have graduated high school, and in the 2016-2017 school year, I'll be teaching our youngest son in grade 11. In addition to home schooling for the past 20 years, I teach writing and literature classes (and even a summer fan fiction class!) online to homeschoolers, and I have my own editing/proofreading and essay-grading business. For the past fourteen years, I've been dealing with autoimmune illnesses; doctors have diagnosed me with rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue syndrome.
Currently I have become obsessed with Jane Austen Fan Fiction (JAFF); one of my Twilight FF is set in the Regency time period of Jane Austen, and I am currently reading, reading, reading in the genre before I hope to start writing JAFF. I hope that you all will enjoy my JAFF as much as you have my Twilight tales. ;)
My favorite living authors are: J.K. Rowling, Anne Lamott, Kathleen Norris, Frederica Mathewes-Green, Jan Karon, Anne Perry, Victoria Thompson, and Abigail Reynolds. I love me a good British mystery with a cuppa Irish Breakfast tea.
My favorite dead authors are: Chaucer, Shakespeare, Milton, Bunyan, Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte, Sarah Orne Jewett, Charlotte Perkins Gilman ("The Yellow Wallpaper" is sheer genius!), GK Chesterton, and PD James.
My favorite poets (dead and living) are: William Wordsworth, Edgar Allan Poe, Emily Dickinson, ee cummings, T.S. Eliot, Langston Hughes, Wendell Berry, Luci Shaw, Judith Deem Dupree, and Kathryn Belsey. (The latter two I am blessed to know IRL; they kindly and gently kicked my butt and persuaded me to start writing again.)
My favorite musicians are U2, U2, and U2. I love my boys from Dublin! :) I am also enjoying Florence the Machine, Editors, Billie Holiday, Mumford & Sons, The Lumineers, and Fitz and the Tantrums. Love Indie, Celtic, Classic Rock 'n' Roll, and Big Band/Swing music, the latter of which is my usual writing music.
Only by Moonlight has been nominated for Best Supporting Cast in the 2014 Fandom Choice Awards (Vampire). In addition, Pinned but Fluttering was voted into the Top Ten Completed Fics for January 2013 (coming in at #8) at TwiFanFictionRecs.com and was also nominated for the Hidden Star Awards for Best Vamp Story. Plus, Evening Star was nominated for the Hidden Star Awards for Best All-Around Story. (And I'd love more nominations, so please feel free...) ;)
