Author has written 2 stories for Sherwood Smith, and Harry Potter.

A Brief Introduction:

Well, hello. Thanks for visiting my humble little page. I'm currently an overwhelmed highschool sophmore who's trying to juggle AP classes, Academic Decathlon, and music studies all at once. I have a particular passion for music, so I devote a lot of time into practicing my instruments (mainly flute, but also piano and Chinese harp). Unfortunately, I also have the classic set of demanding, overly strict, and ambitious Asian parents. As a result I must study very, very hard.

Between all this, I like to squeeze time in to just write. Though, admittedly, I don't get all that much done due to my hectic schedule and particular talent for procrastination. Nevertheless, I'm not giving up--I love writing. And I hope you'll enjoy my stories as much as I like sharing them. Thanks for reading!

Few Quick Facts:

Date of birth: 3/13/1990

Special talents: Procrastinating, spacing out, forgetting things, inventing insults, and horrifying people with profound strangness and insanity.

Likes: flute, tea, autumn, snow, rain, flowers, spicy food, chocolate, chinese harp, piano, interesting bits of history, dogs, wit, photoshop, oil painting, badminton, ping pong, and teaching little elementary kids.

Dislikes: humid weather, PE, vanity, pride, hypocrites, pop quizzes, public speaking, physics, parent lectures, and earthquakes.

Music: I'm fine with most music ... except rap, which really makes me want to murder somebody. I can deal with modern and popular music--but they sometimes bore me.
Now, ironically, classical music is really the genre that truly captures my devotion and admiration. I don't know, but there's just so much more you can get out of classical music. Yeah. Free to call me a nonconformist. I can deal with it when I burn your house down. I love the music of Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Saint-Saëns, Mendelssohn, Dvorák, rachmaninoff, Bruch, Rimsky-korsakov, Liszt, Schubert, Tchaikovsky, Ravel, and Debussy. Oh, and KUHLAU!

Books: Alas, for the past few years I've read very little. One because I have so, so little free time. Two because I'm usually reliant on my school library for books because I'm too poor to purchase them and my local library is really far away. Unfortunately, my new school has the worst library EVER, so I haven't been able to pick up good stuff lately.
But I have enjoyed many books in my middle school years, and here are some of them: Crown Duel, A Murder for Her Majesty, the Enchanted Chocolate Pot, Summers at Castle Auburn, Pride and Prejudice, Anne of Green Gables, The Perilous Gard, Harry Potter ... etc.

Fanfic status:

As of (12/26/05)

Mage Duel: posted chp. 11! Trying to work out a writer's block.

Fiat Lux: posted chp. 2 ... currently has half of chp. 3 written.

Projects(IF I ever have time to write them all):

1. Mage Duel + Fiat Lux ... trying to balance the two so that if I get a writer's block on one, I could work on the other.
2. Tackle Stirling Project, my most ambitious piece of writing. (Original fiction)
3. The Imperial Robemaker. (My original fantasy)
4. Maybe: To Be a Princess, my modern-day story about a princess. (Also original)

Favorite quotes:

"Happiness is like beauty--in the eye of the beholder." ~ Just Ella, by Margret Peterson Haddix

"If I speak in the tongues of men and of angles, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there is knowledge, it will pass away." -- 1 Corinthians 13:1-8

"Humor is the spiciest condiment in the feast of existence. Laugh at your mistakes but learn from them, joke over your troubles but gather strength from them, make a jest of your difficulties but overcome them!" ~ Anne of the Island, by L.M. Montgomery

"You make a living by what you get. You make a life by what you give." ~ Winston Churchill

"Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life." ~ Berthold Auerbach

"The most blessed and privileged of all callings is that of the musician, who acts as interpreter, inspirer, healer, teacher, consoler and, above all, as a humble servant." ~ Yehudi Menuhin

"Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, vision cleared, ambition inspired, and success achieved." ~ Helen Keller

"Speak your mind--even if your voice shakes." ~ Maggie Kuhn

"Because I have loved life, I shall have no sorrow to die." ~ Amelia Burr

"So carry your candle, run to the darkness, seek out the hopeless, confused and torn. Hold out your candle, for all to see it, take your candle and go light your world; Take your candle and go light your world." ~ Go Light Your World, by Kathy Troccoli

"There is in souls a sympathy with sounds:
And as the mind is pitch'd the ear is pleased
With melting airs, or martial, brisk or grave;
Some chords in unison with what we hear
Is touch'd within us, and the heart replies." ~ William Cowper

"To be sure, you knew no actual good of me -- but nobody thinks of that when they fall in love.'' ~ Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice
