Author has written 15 stories for Alias, Stargate: SG-1, Harry Potter, Kingdom Hearts, and Final Fantasy VIII.If someone were to say that writing bios wasn't my forte... they'd be right. For some reason everyone else has really interesting ones, and mine just ends up sounding like an application form in paragraphs. It's quite shameful, really.
Well, my name is Shannon, I'm 18 years old and I live in Australia. (Oh, yeah, and I'm a girl. Stupid potentially confusing unisex name... *grumbles*) I am currently studying pre-med, which tends to eat up a great deal of my time (woe) however the semester is nearly finished and then I'll have heaps of spare time and nothing to do in it.
In my (very very rare) moments of free time, I like to read Harry Potter, watch NCIS (and Australian Idol, I am unfortunately a terminal addict to that one form of reality television) and read Robert Sawyer- one of the best authors ever, in my opinion.
I first got into writing fanfiction on a particularly boring summer holiday when I was 13. My father and I discovered the challenges on the Stargate Heliopolis site, and decided to start a game. We would each pick the most ludicrous challenge, and have to try to make a semi-serious story out of it. At this point it was non-ratings period, so Stargate wasn't showing on tv. When it came back on, we realised that maybe we didn't like the show as much as we thought we did, and the Stargate fanfic died a rather undramatic death.
The same thing happened with Alias- I used to dabble in the odd story, but then I kind of lost interest in the show and the fandom. I unfortunately have a very short attention span when it comes to tv shows, with the notable exceptions of the X Files and Buffy.
Now I'm writing... well, nothing (except excessively long bios, sorry...), but I may start something again soon. In the meantime, I'm just going to keep reading.
