Reviews for the fanfic writer are like food for the world; they make it all work. Support Elsie's Foundation for Writers in Desperate Need of Reviews (WIDNOR). Your generous donation of one review will also go towards those in need diagnosed with CCPA-Chronic Cute Pairing Addiction. It is a serious disorder that many fanfiction writers must now face-don't make them to it alone. Type a little something in that box at the end of each fic today. Thank you for your support!
About Me... I'm tiny , magical, artistic and unstoppable, so world, prepare yourselves! And thanks to my real life bestie, AuroraBorealia, I have been in love with the Fanfiction world since middle school. Dude, that was such a long time ago...
A few notes on previous v. current work...
Just as an update, ya'all, although I haven't posted anything in the vein of fanfiction for a long while, given the time commitments needed for school and work. However, I have been consistently reading fanfiction during my haitus and absorbing lots of awesome creative energy! Most of my previous work was written in middle/high school, so please forgive the over-dramatic tidal wave of sappy pairings, hormones, and general weirdness, haha.
I won't pretend I'm not still a total mushball for well-writen, dynamic pairings and other types of romantic relationships, but much of my reading/writing has shifted focus to action/adventure-driven plot, examinations of social/economic institutional issues within the settings of given fandoms, and character studies. I'll still keep most of the old romantic works posted, especially the completed ones, as a nostalgic reminder of those wonderful years.
Some of my all-time favourite FF Fandoms...
Though my focus has shifted a lot, I do enjoy many pairings from these series, many of which are parts of my previous work, and a few of which will continue to be
Favorite Pairings, Past and Present
(Detailed by fandom - Italics indicate pairings I highly favor at present/wish to explore in upcoming projects)
The Legend of Zelda
Playing Right now on my iPod/Spotify... "Bolero of Fire" from Ocarina of Time, as recorded in Melodies of Hyrule by Taylor Davis, and also "Return of the King" from the LoTR soundtrack. This stuff is perfect for feeling epic--even when I'm just working on grueling hw assignments.
Favorite Books: There are too many to count. Classic favourites of our generation include the Harry Potter series and the Lord of the Rings trilogy (also, The Hobbit--yikes, they could have done better with those movies. Three? Was that necessary. Ugh. Love Martin Freeman, Richard Armitage, and of course the majestic Ian McKellan, though.)
As for some actual classics, I enjoy Scheherazade's One Thousand and One Nights, Cientos años de soledad (Sí, hablo español también, pero mis obras escritas mejores son en inglés), the Sherlock Holmes collection, and of course the epic Shakespeare. C'mon, you can't beat good ol' Elizabethan soap operas.
Currently Reading: Magical Reels: A History of Cinema in Latin America, by John King. Also, working on a plethora of other books, mostly for class at this point.
Favourite State: Maine. It's epic. Go there if you get the chance.
Career Dreams: Not sure yet--workin' on my BA first!
Passions: Singing, writing, multimedia art, the English language, camping, kayaking, spending time with friends and family
Favourite genres to read and write: Adventure, fantasy, mystery, realistic/historical-based fiction, sci-fi
Hogwarts House: Hufflepuff. We badgers have the most fun!

Favourite Quote of the Day...
I am a man of sincerity, from where the palm grows
And before I die, I want to sing the verses of my soul
Mi verse is a like light green, but also that of carmine red
My verse is an injured serf who seeks refuge
(Guantanamera, lyrics written by national Cuban hero Jose Marti, music written by Jose Fernandez)
