Author has written 1 story for Star Trek: 2009.
I am a first time writer. I have always enjoyed reading, and I would now like to try my hand at creating my own stories. I have tried to do so on my own , but it didn't feel right, and it didn't work out. I hope that with readers and reviewers I can share my work and improve on it in a community envioment, (when I eventually get something posted!) I have been reading on this website for a while, so I know what it's all about, so please go kindly on me people! (At least at first!) I am here to practise my writing skill only and for personal improvement.
I am currently in college and hope to go to University soon to do an English Lit degree. I am really excited about that and I just can't wait to get away from my home town (I'm not telling you where that is though cause I'm not dumb!)
A few personal things about me then...
I have an intense phobia of all bugs of any kind, including spiders, butterflies, ladybirds, wasps, bees, ants, moths, knats, and...well, everything with 6 legs plus. EWWWW.
I am a chocoholic. (Mmmmmmm...chocolate...:P)
I am guilty of a lot of malapropism, I am ribbed all the time for mispronouncing stuff. I'm not foriegn or anything, British born and bred, and English is the only language I speak, but I trip over my own tongue a lot and as a result sound like a prat. My latest embarressment was the pronounciation of Chlorine. Correctly pronounced: Kloor- ine, I pronounce: Kor-eeeene.
My favourite movies are: Star Trek 2009 (though I respect the other older versions too,) Lord of the Rings, Transformers, Harvey, The Iron Giant, Burlesque, Avatar, Aliens vs Predator, Artifical Intelligence, 300, Troy, Wall.e, The Hangover, Twilight and many others. As you can see, I like me Sci-Fi and fantasy!
I also like Doctor Who. BIG FAN! I love this new Doctor, he is really good. Many say that he was better than David Tenant, but I don't think that he is necessarily better, per say, I think he is just on par with him. That's fair. Unfortunately, I blame the producers/directors/script-writers whatever for not making Matt Smith's Doctor Who a better character. I think that Matt Smith definitely has potential to become a fantastic, perhaps even best ever Doctor, but I felt in the last series they concentrated too much on Amy and Roy, and didn't give him enough chance to fully develop before they threw all these other intense characters at him. I hope that the next series puts more focus on the Doctor. He's the one I watch it for! Not for Amy! (Though she is a gem!) I was estactic when on the Christmas Special it was almost completely Doctor centric, with only a few, very brief apperances of the others. I really got into the Doctor's character, and that just made it so much better cause I felt emotionally connected. Just fab!!
Now I'm gonna end with a poem. It's a depressing poem, but it's snazzy and made me laugh.
