![]() Author has written 25 stories for Stargate: Atlantis. Well...here it is half way through 2017!! Nothing has changed for me here...so the following original profile still fits! Just sad none of my fave actors has moved on to new series and sad there are fewer and fewer SGA stories being post...from me also!! I'm up to posting 17 stories...wow!! The writing bug hasn't been too prolific and I admit I'd rather read than write! Hope all are well and life treats you well! I am an avid reader and have become quite addicted to fanfiction! As Stargate Atlantis was and is still my favorite show ever, I am finding that reading SGA stories keep the series going , even though the" fools in power' cancelled my fave show in its prime!! I still find it hard to believe they cancelled the show as it was so darn popular. If it was to make way for Stargate Universe--IMO they made a huge mistake as it wasnt nearly half as engaging as SGA was. My favorite character on SGA is Lt Colonel John Sheppard. Physically he is just so damned hot (thanks to Joe Flanigan!) and also because his morals and actions bely a true hero, in every situation. I do like when my fave flyboy is praised by his peers for his attributes, both physical and professional. I do like my Shep whumped--and find that odd and disturbing... (?) Of course, lots of comfort from all afterwards!! I will not read slash as that is not an interest of mine and takes away from my ideals for each character, no offense to anyone--just not my thing. I do, however like John paired heterosexually with Elizabeth, Teyla, Sam, Jennifer or other attractive females.--as long as he's monogamous. Straight-laced?-why, yes I am!!! The whole casting of the show was excellent as each character was so complimented by the actor who portrayed them. The interaction and quips of humor made them all such a pleasure to watch. The special effects were superior and enhanced the show's quality to a higher level. Ok, I'm kind of obsessive here--but I thank all the writers who continue to write SGA stories. Well--since the summer of 2011 when the writing bug first bit me, I have now written a few stories--a very big surprise for me! I will never think of myself as a "writer" as I am sure a true writer would pick my stories apart--but its fun and rewarding when a story is born! |
