Author has written 3 stories for Lord of the Rings, and Game of Thrones.
Hey there :) My name is Luna, and I like to read and write...Which is why I joined this site. My reviewing policy for this site is simple: If it's a good story and it's obvious that the author put a lot of time and effort into it, then I'll review every chapter. It takes the author ten times longer and a whole hell of a lot more effort to write one chapter than it takes me to write a fifty word review. I'm a writer myself, and I know that getting feedback from readers is one of the most helpful and rewarding parts of the writing process.
In general, I enjoy reading and writing for fantasy, historical fiction, some romance, and plenty of science fiction. But for fanfiction, I mostly stick to fantasy because I love writing stories that take place in an entirely different universe. My current favorite books are Ender's Game, The Screwtape Letters, Harry Potter, and Game of Thrones. I could rant about how much I hate Twilight, Jodi Picoult, and James Patterson for hours. For TV shows, I like Doctor Who, Sherlock, Merlin, Stargate SG-1, Downton Abbey, Lost, Firefly, How I Met Your Mother, Game of Thrones, and many others! And I have too many favorite movies to list.
Below is a short explanation of each of the stories I've written so far.
Closed Doors: In the Lord of the Rings, Boromir and Faramir's mother was a mystery. We never saw her in the books or in the movies. The only pieces of information about her that we gleaned from the books are that she died five years after Faramir was born and that she always longed to return to her home by the sea. With this one-shot, I fill those crater sized gaps with an idea about what her story might have been.
The Adventures of Estela and Adonnenniel: This started out as a parody of your typical Mary-Sue fic in which a girl from our world somehow conveniently falls into Middle Earth with no apparent reason, super conveniently lands right smack in front of the Fellowship, and then super super conveniently hooks up with its more attractive members. But what started out as a parody evolved into an actual story. Please don't stone me death for writing a girl falls into Middle Earth fanfiction. I began writing it much earlier than the posted published date, and kept it on my computer for about four years before deciding to actually post it. A close friend who's also on this site finally convinced me to post it. (You know who you are!) It might take me a while, because I want to start pursuing more serious creative endeavours, but I will finish it eventually.
Everybody Hates Joffrey: There were so many times while reading/watching Game of Thrones that I thought to myself 'I wish Joffrey would die in this scene.' So, this story is a bunch of stand alone, short pieces that describe Joffrey dying in every scene he could have died in during the first 2 books/seasons. I despise Joffrey more than any other villanious fictional character I've ever read about, and I needed an outlet. I'm only midly concerned that this series makes me want to write about children dying.
Coming Soon: Another Game of Thrones fanfiction.
