Sephiroth doesn't often get fanmail... or any mail. ShinRa screens more or less every aspect of his life, after all. So when he receives a package, he's understandably curious. He opens it to find... a video game, of all things. Final Fantasy VII? What a useless waste of time... that Hojo would highly disapprove of... Hmm. Perhaps just this once...

In a last-ditch effort to save the planet, Cloud is hurled into another dimension. One where the link between him and god-complex Sephiroth will be broken. The only problem is, his cross-dimensional counterpart is the soulmate of the four strongest SOLDIERs in Midgar, that dimension's Sephiroth included. Their *dead* soulmate. And they'll stop at nothing to find him.

Sephiroth messing with time itself destroyed a path entirely. To save it, Cloud is chosen to be sent back in time and prevent Jenova's madness. The catch is that he shares a deep connection with Sephiroth. Cloud knew he should have asked for more details before agreeing.
