![]() Author has written 25 stories for Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Trigun, Bonanza, and Mass Effect. NOTICE ABOUT UPDATES: Due to my current lack of desktop to type on, as well as the fact that I'm working two jobs in order to keep a roof over my head, updates will be non-existent until 2020. Even then, updates will be slow until my life is less chaotic. Therefore, any messages (PMs, reviews, etc) asking for the next update will be ignored. The answer at this point will always be, 'I don't know'. Also, constantly asking for the next update will not make them come faster. As a matter of fact, they make me LESS motivated. I'm an adult with adult responsibilities. I would love nothing more than to update as much as I did in high school, but unless I win the lottery, that's not possible. ABOUT ME My name is Jami. You can also call me J, iceangelmkx, ice, icey, whatever floats your boat. I've been with fanfiction.net since September 2002, which is a pretty long time. A majority of my stories are based around my favorite video games as well as a couple of TV shows. I've always been fascinated with adding my own ideas to existing fandoms and exploring potential story lines. What better place to do that than here? I primarily write for the Mortal Kombat and Mass Effect fandom these days. I try to update each story about 2-4 times a month, but it depends on how much my real life rears it ugly head and whether or not I'm hit with writer's block. Fandoms Favorite Characters Mortal Kombat: Kenshi, Havik, Erron Black, Jade, Sub-Zero, Cyrax, Takeda. Websites I Own Blade of Vengeance - The Unofficial Kenshi Takahashi Fansite My Stories CURRENTLY WRITING: The Ketsueki Quadrilogy: Majin Seiryu Ki - To return in full-swing Spring 2019! COMPLETED STORIES With Comments (in order of completion): The Outworld (Street Fighter/Mortal Kombat) - Okay, I'm going to be honest... this fic... it's Godawful. I mean, wow, I can't believe how I got away with such a story! I had only recently got back into video games and was still learning the storylines at the time, and well... I screwed up on a lot of things, and some of the plotlines didn't make sense at all. I'm not sure why people loved this fic at the time, but the reason I've kept it up here was because it was the first story that got me 100 reviews, and it was also the first story that gave me the confidence to write more fanfics. So, even though this fic is as awful as sin, it still holds a special spot. On a small note, if anyone was wondering why Kenshi's not in the story, that's because I didn't know who he was when the fic began. =P Street Fighter II V: Resurrection (Street Fighter) - Written as a sequel to the awesome anime series. Then I thought, 'Hey, it'd be so cool if I had my own characters in it!' Three OC's plus a borrowed character were added... big mistake. Let's just say that, through this story, I learned exactly what a Mary Sue is. The two girls I created were failures. However, the reason I kept this story here was because this was Wagner's debut fic, and of all the OC's, he was the one who was very well received. The Hero of Metro City (Street Fighter) - Since Guy was one of my favorites in Street Fighter, I wanted to write a story centered around him. The first chapter was written randomly during my creative writing class, the Christmas theme made due to how close the holidays were at the time I wrote it. Aside from tense errors, this was the first story I wrote where I felt mostly satisfied with. My one regret is adding the character Greg, which was definitely random and out of place. However, he was eventually replaced by Kyle, Cody's brother who appears in Final Fight: Streetwise. A Trigun Christmas Carol (Trigun) - A parody, obviously based on Charles Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol,' taking place in the Trigun universe. Originally, the story was only available on my website due to it being script format. It was available here, but due to the format, the site removed it. However, in 2011, I took the time to change it to regular story format. Now it is finally available on this site after eight years and just in time for Christmas. Living in Darkness (Mortal Kombat) - My first Mortal Kombat story, which combines the main storyline of MK Deadly Alliance and specific character endings. I highly believe, as far as I know, that this is the first Kenshi-centric fanfic in existence since he debuted in Deadly Alliance. I also attempted another OC after my failed attempted with 'Street Fighter II V: Resurrection.' Though not as popular as Wagner, Alex was well-received. Aside from Chishio No Me, this was my favorite story to write. The Life Flashing Before My Eyes (Trigun) - The thoughts of Wolfwood as death awaits him. Not much more to say about it, though this was the last Trigun fic I wrote. Air Force Legacy (Street Fighter) - My only OC-focused fic featuring Wagner. This was supposed to serve as one one two sequels to Street Fighter II V: Resurrection, but naturally, one was cancelled. However, this story can be read as a stand-alone, so no need to read it's prequel (trust me, it's for the best). Written more for fun than anything else, but I do not plan to write a story like this again. Her Protector (Mortal Kombat) - An MK Alternate Universe inspired by a friend's forum signature. Decided to experiment with an unlikely couple, Kenshi and Kitana. My regret is getting lazy after chapter 13. Initially, I was going to work on a rewrite, but considering how pleased I was with the first half of the story for the most part, I don't think a full re-write is all that necessary. Sub Zero's Answering Machine (Mortal Kombat) - Based on a Vampire Hunter D fanfic, just me bringing a random fic to the MK section. It's my most well-received one-shot. Although follow-ups were requested (and still are to this day apparently), I do not plan to write any more. I'll Always Be With You (Street Fighter) - A one-shot story. I originally planned to write this full-length, but it became what it is during a writing slump I was having at the time. The Ketsueki Quadrilogy: Chishio No Me (Street Fighter/Mortal Kombat/Tekken/Soulcalibur) - My first crossover with more than two games. Originally intended to be just Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat, but the other two ended up being added. This was intended as a bit of a rewrite of 'The Outworld' since I did not write that's story sequel (recently finding old notes for it... thank God for that!). With such an epic-like story, I decided to push to my limit plotwise here, trying out some things never been done and experiment with some rumored speculations and dream fights. Currently, it's my most popular fanfic. Under The Purple Sky (Bonanza) - My first Bonanza story based on the Trigun episode, "Love and Peace." The Forsaken (Bonanza) - A Bonanza story written for Halloween. The Scent of Leather and Bay Rum (Bonanza) - A Bonanza story written for a forum challenge. My most popular Bonanza fic based on reviews from other websites. Sharing is Caring (Mass Effect Trilogy) - This was a one-shot that was written for a prompt on the Mass Effect LiveJournal Kink Meme. It was really more of a writing exercise for me as well (especially since it only took me a half hour to type out). I'll say one thing... I never thought I'd write a Mass Effect story that focused on Grunt and Jack. Still, it was fun to write. What is a Soulmate? (Mass Effect Trilogy) - I wanted to write a one-shot story to commemorate my 11-year anniversary on this site. The inspiration for this story was from a small comic on Deviantart by an artist named Oliveretta. She gave me permission to write the story and I ended up releasing it one day earlier than I intended. I definitely recommend checking out the artwork, which is called 'Soulmate,' hence the title inspiration. The Ketsueki Quadrilogy: Ano Sentaku Bou (Street Fighter/Mortal Kombat/Tekken/Soulcalibur) - The follow-up to 'Chishio No Me.' I've attempted sequels to other stories before, but this was the very first time that I actually completed a story sequel! This is also my longest story to date as well as the story that took me the longest to complete (six years and three months) mainly because I got hit with 3 years worth of writer's block. Originally, this was going to be the final part of my series, but I've since planned two more sequels. The Call of Sento (Mortal Kombat) - This one-shot story was actually written in 2011 as part of the now-cancelled story, 'The Path of Fate.' Initially planned as part of two introductions in one chapter, I found myself writing this out in not only one sitting, but it took 14 pages to cover. This story has truly shown me how much I've improved in the art of writing in the past decade, especially when compared to my earlier stories. After deciding to cancel 'The Path of Fate,' the last thing I wanted was for this chapter to go to complete waste so... I decided to re-release it as a one-shot story. The Swordsman & The Maniac - (Mortal Kombat/Deadpool) - Link to story on title. This is my very first (and still will be very rare) collab story with fellow writer and friend, SpinoGuy Productions that was 5 months in the making. Despite all the writer's block and real-life crap that kept dropping on us... well... mostly on me (and hence why I gave him the honor to host the fic on his profile), the story was a lot of fun to write, especially since this was the first time I got involved with a project involving the Deadpool franchise. Father's Day (Mortal Kombat) - In light of some... ignorant comments immediately after the release of MKX, I decided that one way that I would take a stand on the subject in question was to write this story. Initially, I intended this to only focus on the father/son relationship of Kenshi and Takeda, but as the actual holiday came closer, I decided to reflect on the other dads and their kids in the story. I really enjoyed writing this story, especially since it's a side of the MK universe rarely explored. I'll Forever Be With You (Street Fighter) - This fic is a follow-up to my previous story, I'll Always Be With You, marking my second completed sequel. This fic was written for three reasons; 1) To commemorate the 10-year anniversary of the prequel's publication. 2) To commemorate the new Street Fighter V game. 3) To commemorate the canon return of Charlie Nash since the Alpha games. This is also my first (non-crossover) Street Fighter fanfic in 10 years. Tranquility (Mass Effect Trilogy) - What was originally planned as a collection of prompts ended up being a day-in-a-life story. For a while after Mass Effect 3 was released, I felt like I was reading nothing but depressing after-game fics when it comes to the Shakarian pairing. Nothing wrong with that of course, but for me personally, it did kind of get me down after a while. So I took it upon myself to write a 'happy ending' story, thus Tranquility was born. Meridian Sunrise (Mass Effect: Andromeda) - I don't even remember the inspiration for this story except maybe the little story about someone's first sunrise in the Andromeda galaxy. All I know is that I wanted my first dive into the Andromeda universe (the game could be better, but it's not the doom and gloom some people make it out to be) to be about Reyes and FemRyder, a ship I didn't expect myself to jump onto. In the Arms of Solace (Mass Effect: Andromeda) - Commentary coming soon... EXCLUSIVE SERIES Whiskey Gold & Ocean Blue - (Mass Effect: Andromeda) - A collection of prompts and drabbles about Reyes Vidal and my Pathfinder, Kira Ryder. Collection is exclusive to AO3. I'd link it, but apparently this site doesn't like us linking to AO3. FUTURE STORIES: The Ketsueki Quadrilogy: Sukui No Tsubasa - The 4th and final installment to my series. I am more than happy to accept any constructive feedback when needed. However, flames will be given to Havik, who will mock and laugh at them before using them to roast tasty marshmallows! |
