Author has written 2 stories for Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, and Frozen.
Mostly just reading Frozen and Labyrinth fics now. I am more serious about original fiction but am writing a Frozen fic for fun and practice. :)
Frozen in Time: I was one of those who applauded Disney for poking fun at itself in "Frozen" for a common trope in its older films: true love...with someone you just met. HOWEVER, I was totally shocked and annoyed by what they did to Hans. I understand what they were aiming for as far as sociopaths/narcissists often appearing charming and overly affectionate in the beginning of a relationship, only to turn into a completely different person later on. But there is a huge difference between deceiving characters and deceiving the audience. I may have felt differently about Hans if there had been earlier hints of his true nature. But did you not see the way he looked at Anna when he fell into the fjord after they first met? That was not the look of a villain (would've looked menacing) or a sociopath (would've been stoic) or a narcissist (would've been pissed that he fell into the fjord). But the writers themselves admit that he was not originally supposed to be the villain. His character was changed for the sake of the script.
I still love the final product "Frozen". But I thought to myself, 'Okay, so let's say Hans really just did a 180. Why? How would it make sense?'
Those thoughts are originally what got me reading Frozen fanfics, particularly Hans redemption fics. But "Frozen in Time" is not technically a redemption story. There will be no history of family abuse; there will be no jealousy which drives Hans to betray Anna.
Nope, there's something else. I'm not sure if it's been done before. Even if it has, this will be my own take on it. The only other clue I will give is in the story description.
Status: Got 2/4 scenes completed for the draft on 32. It's going to be a busy next few days for me, but I'll see what I can get done over the weekend... probably looking at the next chapter going up early next week though. Thanks for reading and reviewing! :)
The Devil's Checkmate: Discontinued sequel; I lost interest. KKJ was a wonderful show but I was writing by the seat of my pants for that one... for the most part. I have no idea where I'd want to go with it.
