Author has written 8 stories for Yu-Gi-Oh, Kingdom Hearts, Bleach, Hetalia - Axis Powers, and Avengers.
What up, I'm Akemi and it's nice to meet you!
Updating my profile again. So much has changed! I'm still 18, but now I'm a freshman at NAU! I'm not majoring in film like I said I would, I realized it was silly. Instead I'm majoring in Comparative Cultures: Asian Studies with emphasis in Japan and China. I'm minoring in film because I don't need a degree to do film work. Making movies is still my priority though, and I still want to remake The Percy Jackson and Last Airbender movies! I also want to make educational documentaries because I'm a dork. Writing and drawing are my side hobbies when I'm not reading or playing Harvest Moon.
Misha Collins is my role model, and Natsuki Takaya is my idol!
I love things like SuperWhoLock, Kingdom Hearts, Hetalia, Homestuck, Bleach, LOTR, and countless other things

My Little Natsuki Takaya Worship Corner XD
(update: This shit is so old and still mostly true)
Takaya-sensei is my inspiration for...everything really! If i hadn't picked up Ayame's volume of Fruits Basket off the tiny shelf for manga in my 6th grade my life would be very different. It took me an entire class hour to figure out how to read it and only a few seconds for me to be absolutely hooked and obsessed with anything Japanese!
The logic and lessons that she has written have really made me take a second ( and third, fourth, and fifth) look at my life. It's taught me to be optimistic, to give people the benefit of the doubt, to try harder, and realize that no, you can't just suddenly change (heck! it took me two years to finally gain a friend i could actually be my self with), that being confident isn't just about will power, that not all evil... is evil.
My favorite quote from Furuba is the one Yuki says to Kisa after she reads the letter from her teacher. That sometimes we can't find our good qualities and that it might take a push from someone. That really made me start coming out of my shell. I had always been the shy quiet one who had trouble making friends ( my parents denie it but it's true). After i read Furuba I found myself actually wanting to talk to strangers, to branch out and be honest! I went from being a shy, quiet, day dreaming, reclusive, uncaring, push over, open minded, gentle person to being a still shy but quick friend who is surprisingly loud, a day dreamer starting to turn those dreams into reality, a girl who want's to go out, a little more mean (my friends say honest) still a giant push over but more annoying, open minded, more huggy girl.
I love Takaya-sensei's art style and when ever i get around to drawing a picture (le gasp! i do actually draw some ((not as well as my friends lol))) i try to learn it. I use her mangas a lot as reference! XP
I love her characters! All so unique and different, but they still feel like real people. Her characters feel more real to me then any other anime, manga, or any story, i've ever read.
Furuba was actually what got me interested in psychology (even more so than deathnote). My inspiration to go to Japan, to become a teacher, to have fun, and to start writing stories was all because of Takaya-sensei.
You are awesome Takaya-sensei and i idol you beyond everyone but my dad, mom, and aunts!
