Author has written 6 stories for Naruto, Highschool of the Dead, Kim Possible, Halo, and Mass Effect.
My name is The Ardent Warrior-Poet, a bit of an ostentatious pen name, to be sure. I am an American and I have served honorably in the US Army (active duty) as an infantryman/paratrooper for 6 years. Not to puff up my ego overmuch but I am damn good at what I did... and then I look at what I do now and I sigh. I am a student in Tennessee though I'm originally from Alaska -- both of my parents were also military, as were the past 4 generations on my father's side of the family.
Why is this important, you might ask... Well, it shows nothing more than that I have a lot of history to look up to. Many warriors are in my family and as the sole male to hold the family name, I was very much expected to act in the same fashion. Duty to family first, then to country, and finally to the community in which I live in; all of these I was taught were paramount... in that order. As you may expect, I have lived a rather restrictive life, and I am not ungrateful for it. I'm proud of what I've done and am confident in what I hope to achieve:
I want to be a writer of fiction, of fantasy and science fiction. And I hope to put out a book by the end of next year.
It's kind of funny -- my dad was very surprised when I told him what I would go to college for, but he was also supportive. He found it amusing because I used to always read books in my free time while other kids were playing console games or smoking weed. He likened me to a scholar though my former occupation was less than passive or academic. But hey, as I said, I'm proud of my achievement and continue to aspire to more.
I guesss the point of all this is simple: I want you to get to know me while you read my writing... whenever this asinine ban lifts of Feb 2, 2011. I'm very interested in the stories I see on this site and for the past few hours, I've read through about four and a half "fan-fics". Naruto seems to be the reigning favorite and so in complete and utter shamelessness, I will devote my first story to the bastardized creation it has since become.
Lol, an odd choice of wording, that. Bastard!! just so happens to be a favorite anime of mine and after careful consideration, the story incoming will be a "cross-over fic", an agalmation of the aforementioned anime/manga.
And so, on Feb 2, 2011 (maybe on the 3rd as sleep is a priority for college students), be ready for That Bastard Fox: The Advent of Uzumaki Naruto!!
