Ships/Fandom Info

PHANTOM: There is only Erik/Christine. It's not optional. My stories will always be based primarily on Susan Kay. (Hierarchy of canon according to me Kay- small gap -Leroux- bigger gap -ALW stage musical OLC lyrics. Then there's a vast chasm, then there's most of the others. The 2004 film isn't even on the list and has no place in civilised discourse. I should mention I was slowly sucked into a highly conditional love affair with Australian cast LND, because I'm probably going to eventually post an incredibly self-indulgent LND one-shot. I know, okay, I've read Phantom of Manhattan ((if you haven't, don't)) but... the songs, the E/C... I'm weak.)

FFVII: Original game only (haven't bothered with the sequel/prequel stuff). Cloud/Aeris.

YuGiOh!: Ancient Egypt has always been a huge interest of mine so I try to skew more historically accurate where possible. Yami/Yuugi is my OTP.

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: Jack/Elizabeth. Elizabeth- I firmly believe- would end up bored to tears with Will. Besides, Jack and Elizabeth are both infinitely more interesting and engaging as characters and probably deserve each other. Take that as you will :) (Three years later, now that the sequel has come out: my view hasn't changed, but I'd like to say now- before the third one- that I consider ONLY what we know from CotBP to be canon. Meaning, I don't subscribe to the added back story for Jack or the changes we see in the characters. Fic would be set after CotBP and ignore the events of the sequels.)

LABYRINTH: Jareth/Sarah. It's important to me that I don't sugar coat their flaws and their less admirable character traits.

DARK ANGEL: I'm a season one purist. S2 is a completely different show, one which was much less interesting and original, and wherein people I cared about were both sidelined and out of character. Accordingly, I am all about the Max/Logan and Max's quest for self-understanding, as was S1. Won't get into S2 except maybe Borrowed Time angst or Max telling off that Reefer guy. He bugged.

I might eventually go for a semi-cracky NCIS/Dark Angel crossover. It makes more sense for Tony to become Logan (in fact, apart from Logan being younger it works perfectly), but I find it more entertaining to imagine the team's reaction to discovering that Logan/Eyes Only became Tony. Hence, semi-crack, because that can't make sense in any sane world. This does create problems about where Max fits in. That being the main reason I haven't written it yet lol

NCIS: I don't ship Tony/Ziva. That doesn't mean I don't like Ziva, it just means I can't see them as a couple. I am still interested in Kate and she will have presence in my stories. The show itself has been a bit hit and miss with me since S4, and I can't accept things going back to normal after the S6 finale, so I'm not keeping up with new episodes. Most of my fic will be set in early S4 or before (no Jeanne), and nothing will ever be S7 or later. Tony is my favourite and I'm most interested in his damage and his obfuscating behaviour. I wanted more exploration of him as team leader and how the others reacted to that, so expect it to come up. I ship Tony/Abby and Tony/Kate (not at the same time). Also, a tiny bit of innocent, fluffy Abby/Ducky.

I might eventually do a Man From U.N.C.L.E./NCIS crossover, just for fun. (Speaking of U.N.C.L.E., no Napoleon/Illya slash for me, thanks. I want Illya/Miki fic so bad, though. I may eventually give in and write it myself.)

RELIC HUNTER: Nigel/Sydney

MCU THOR: I don't like it when the film characters are conflated with the myth or comic characters, because the films are a very separate universe. For me, what is suggested by the film always takes precedence over incorporating stuff from other versions. Loki/Jane is my OTP. No Thor/Loki slash. I write Loki as the Shakespearean tragedy he was in the original film. My characterisation is completely based on Thor1, because that is the version of the characters I find compelling. I don't think very highly of The Avengers the film in general, and it gave Loki a total personality transplant for no reason, so I'm going to ignore it. I don't keep up with MCU, though I did see T:TDW. Haven't seen anything past that.

Doctor Who: Classic only plus the Twelfth, no other nuwho and no series ten. Twelve/Clara

HIMYM: Barney/Robin

N.B. I have had this account for a really, really long time. Consequently, there are some stories on here I wrote when I was a pre-teen. And, you know, it shows. But I leave them up because... well, why not? Just a word of warning. And a hope that most people will notice my newer stuff is considerably better. :P
