Author has written 38 stories for Devil Wears Prada, Good Wife, StarTrek: Voyager, Harry Potter, Once Upon a Time, and Supergirl.
For anyone who's wondering, I converted the DWP story, Lost Treasures, to an original story for publication through Desert Palm Press and had to take the DWP story down. I added over 20,000 to it, and was released at the end of August 2016. Still here, still writing for some of my favorite female couples. I finally ventured into Once Upon A Time, SwanQueen/Swen territory and loved it. Also, I wrote some crossovers for The Devil Wears Prada and Harry Potter. Although it is not particularly easy to connect the two worlds, I do find the challenge extremely rewarding, particularly when I hear from readers about how much they have enjoyed reading them (that is a pointed hint).
I have some other stories here, too. Besides some stories in Harry Potter for the MM/HG pairing and The Devil Wears Prada for MP/AS, I have posted my one and only foray into The Good Wife (got interviewed by Entertainment Weekly for shipping Alicia and Kalinda!) and an AU for Star Trek Voyager, Janeway/Seven. Be kind to me if you read those, please. I have older stories for STV I may or may not post. I have posted much more on my LiveJournal page, if you are interested. The page link is here: http :// jazwriter (dot) livejournal (dot) com / 40295 (dot) html. I am slowly posting some of the works on Archive Of Our Own, including several Supergirl Cat Grant/Kara Danvers stories. That website link is here: https: // archiveofourown (dot) org / users / jazwriter / works.
Currently, I am working on my next novel, Musings of a Madwoman, which is in the final stages before being published by DPP. It will have a sequel, Forget-Me-Not, and perhaps one more after that. I will post the link to purchase MOAM once it becomes available. Here's the back cover blurb:
Three women’s lives interweave as they struggle to navigate life and love. And the effects of a meteorite.
Patricia Steitz, a successful romance writer, is flabbergasted when Rudi Singlewood shows up at one of her book signings and initiates a summer romance. She worries that the fantasies she’s harbored regarding the world-renown Broadway actress may prevent her from accepting who Rudi really is. She relates her fears to her best friend, Marcia Struthers, a successful Manhattan litigator.
Knowing that Patricia has dreamed of Rudi for years, Marcia urges her to give the actress a chance by getting to know who she is behind her public persona. While working a high-profile case, Marcia must confront her resurging feelings for lead opposing counsel, Lexie Yamin, and the appearance of an unrequited love. All is not as it seems, however, as Marcia deals with unexpected physical changes and developing mental abilities after an encounter with a meteorite. Marcia’s not the only one dealing with changes induced by an extraterrestrial rock, though.
Kiernan Connelly, who has received intriguing letters over several months, begins to question her lifestyle. Her casual sexual relationship with Rudi and passable acting career no longer fulfill her. As Kiernan makes changes in her life, she finds herself dealing with the strange reality of being able to hear others’ thoughts. Could it be related to her close encounter with a meteorite?
I continue to write fanfiction when I can, if only because I love the characters and experimenting with my writing style. I also work in the real estate industry and struggle to raise my three adopted children with my wife.
I really love reading well-constructed stories in the fandoms I ship, although I am a real baby when it comes to angst. I need happy endings since I am attempting to get away from the hardships inherent with life. That said, I have been known to write angst when it serves the story.
I know all that sounded really boring--right?? Well, I do try to make time for fun things, too. That's one of the reasons I read fanfiction. It's fun, it's irreverent, and it's entertaining. And I get to meet lots of writers as quirky, serious, thoughtful, and inspired as I am. Feel free to friend me, write me, track me, whatever. And let me know if you enjoy a story--okay?
And since I couldn't figure out how to size my avatar to not cut off the top of the picture, I am including the link to my LJ page so you can see the impetus for my HP/DWP crossover, Two Sides of the Same Coin. It is Miriam Prince. Don't be stingy with the comments if you like any of my stories. No flames are needed, and if you really care about helping me out because you see a mistake or have questions/concerns for the timeline or plot points, PM me, please. I have no patience for someone who flat out tells me I am wrong, though, so please do use some tact. Thanks!
