Hello! Welcome :) My name is Hannah.
I'm 15, and currently working towards my GCSEs, so my updating schedule is more than a little off.
Obviously, I love to write; the lure of being able to create a whole new world *hums the song from Aladdin* with a brand new set of rules- or lack thereof- isn't something I can resist. I spend a lot of time imagining extra scenes for books and t.v. shows, so FanFiction is something of a gift ;)
I like supernatural television and old books and nerdy games like Kingdom Hearts and the original Spyro trilogy. (The PS2 games were a tragedy. They are dead to me.)
I'm also a bit rubbish at replying to reviews, but always know that they are received with love :)
Kyra Leigh wrote a song for DIKY. I'm in love.
I'm a writer through and through- writing has gotten me through some bad times. If I'm upset, I try to write it out, because the only other alternative is usually something much more painful, down the lines of panic attack and the temptation to hurt myself. The first thing I did when my grandmother died was sit down and write 'our deepest apologies', because it got those feelings out. Consequently, my best writing comes when I have my own personal feelings to draw off. This is among the reasons that the get-together in 'Don't I Know You?' has taken such a long, slow built; not only were my characters not ready, but I don't have the knowledge or the feelings to portray them as naturally as they deserve. Every word is a struggle. In reverse, stories like 'Atrophy' and 'Into the Rain' both involved situations I've fortunately never personally been involved in, but I've felt weaker, less serious versions. 'DisasterGirl' and the first chapter of 'So Not Size Ten' where a direct transcript of my feelings projected onto Sonny, which I think is what made them as potent (I think) as they were.
I live in Northern Ireland, home of the humble soda bread. It's a part of the UK- I'm not lying, I promise you. Because of this, I'm prone to coming off with phrases you probably haven't heard before- such as, 'Right, mate, what's the craic?'- craic, which is, in fact, pronounced as crack, the slightly less polite, "You are a melter,"and where we pronounce 'aluminium' as 'al-a-min-yum'. There, you learned something new- isn't that nice?
Finally, faith; I am a Christian. I am very firm in my beliefs; so if you're looking for stories full of sex scenes and swear words, you're probably (definitely) in the wrong place. Sorry, not sorry. :)
Through this site, I've met some lovely, fantastic people, and I'm going to mention them now, in no particular order. MusicChannySkyscraper, MiiMyselfandTime, past decembers, MrB.o.B1990, KyraLeigh13, TheSarahStar, and HopelesslyChanny. If I missed you; I'm sorry! You know I love you really, and I'm just horrible when it comes to remembering everyone.
k.98PeaceOutSuckas gets a special mention a) because she doesn't have a profile, and b) since she's not really around here any more, I miss her. A lot. :( *hugs*
KyraLeigh13 is my wifey for lifey. :D
Kathryn made the mistake of implying her mention wasn't good enough. So, lemme tell you a l'il bit about Kat ;)
faith for eternity is my 'for eternity' buddy, and she deserves a special mention because of that- and also because she mentioned me on her 'authors I idolize' list, which was a happy surprise which caused me to flail :D
I have many hidey-holes internet wide, and you're most likely to find me at
Tumblr as 'hopexforxeternity' and Twitter as 'hopex4xeternity'. If you follow me on either of those, you're guaranteed a follow back :D I've changed everything so that it matches- I'm OCD like that. *shrug* :)
A huge thank you to everyone who takes the time to review my stories! I love you all.
