After many years of enjoying the stories on this site, I’ve unexpectedly taken the plunge with a story of my own. I’ve never done any creative writing before, though I’ve written proposals and donor solicitations for work which some would say actually qualifies me as an experienced fiction writer. I hope anyone reading gets as much enjoyment out of my stories as I’m getting from the writing process.

And since you’ve so kindly come to check out my profile, I shall try to make it worth your while (i.e. waste more of your time) with some random facts about me:

-I live in the US, but would love to move somewhere else, so feel free to send job offers my way!
-Unfortunately, I only speak 1.75 languages and probably can’t count.
-I love traveling, shoes, and Siberian huskies, not necessarily in that order.
-I have a strange fondness for soup spoons.
-I genuinely prefer frozen yogurt with fruit to ice cream, not that I’d ever turn down ice cream. One can never have too much calcium in one's diet, or something like that.
-I’m not a fan of vampires, though I have a soft spot for trolls (myth, human, and Norwegian versions all three) because at least they don’t have any fan groups lusting after them as far as I know. (And please don’t disillusion me; I’m all for living in blissful ignorance.)
-I obviously adore Downton Abbey a bit too much.
