Author has written 3 stories for Pokémon, Glee, and Grey's Anatomy.
Name: Green Eyes
Place of Residence: N/A
Occupation: Procrastinator / All-Pro Sleeper / University Student
Hobbies: Reading / Running / Listening to Music
Books: far to many to even attempt to list. To give you an idea, I have almost four book cases full of books that I've read multiple times.
Games: Dragon Age / Tomb Raider / Uncharted / Skyrim / Mass Effect / Jak and Daxter / Kingdom Hearts / Street Fighter / Shadow Hearts: Covenant / Star Ocean (particularly 3, and to a lesser extent 4) / .hack (the first 4 were better then the later GU trilogy in my opinion but I liked both) / Final Fantasy / Shadow of Colossus / Radiata Stories etc... I could go on. Incidentally; how great were the games for PS2?? I'm still cheesed off at Sony for not making the PS3 backwards compatible with it. Most uncool guys.
Favorite Fandoms: I'm open to a rather diverse group; even if I have limited or negative experiences with the "cannon" versions such as Twilight for example. I've read a few of those fics that I quite like, at the same time I am a fan of neither the books nor the movies.
Anime I Like: No Game No Life / s-Cry-ed / Log Horizon / Outlaw Star / Cowboy Beebop / One Piece / Witch Hunter Robin / dot Hack / Princess Mononoke / Nausicaa Valley of the Wind / Appleseed / Karas / Fairy Tail / Furi Kuri aka Fooly Cooly (FLCL) / My Neighbor Totoro / Spirited Away / Origin: Spirits of the Past / Howl's Moving Castle / Tekkonkinkreet etc...
Comics: I love comics even more than anime. All the Marvel / DC / Dark Horse whatever, I pretty much like it all. I'm a closet super hero geek.
Favorite Characters (In no particular order)
Harry Potter: Luna Lovegood (all-time favorite) / Dobby / Sirius Black / Neville Longbottom / Hermione Granger
Firefly: Malcom "Mal" Reynolds / Jayne Cobb / Hoban "Wash" Washburne (the whole crew on Serenity)
Mass Effect: Tali'Zorah nar Rayya / Urdnot Wrex / Urdnot Grunt / Mordin Solus
Teen Titans (cartoon): Raven / Cyborg / Jinx / Gizmo (love the little dude)
The Runaways: Nico Minoru / Chase Stein / Molly Hayes etc.. the whole group is good.
Twilight: Alice Cullen / Esme Cullen
Young Justice: Aretemis / Robin / Kaldur (Aqualad) basically there whole team is bangin. I even like Superoy and generally I dislike Superman and his off-shoots, because when you have seemingly infinite powers, it kinda kills on the level of suspense I can feel for a character
Final Fantasy: The Great Ninja Yuffie / Vincent Valentine / Balthier / Cid (ff7) / etc... Final Fantasy is way too diverse to pick just a few.
Cowboy Beebop: Françoise Appledehli aka "Edward Wong Hau Pepulu Tivruskii 4th" aka "Radical Edward" aka "Ed" / Spike Spiegel / Faye Valentine / Jet Black (yeah I don't care that I just listed all the main characters, I like 'em all, one of my all time favorite anime)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Faith Lehane... end of story. she's my girl on that show.
Preferred Pairings (not including pairings in a crossover)
Well generally speaking i like het. I am not generally a huge fan of yaoi/slash pairings. I have read a few that I have liked, and reading about two males being romantically involved does not bother me, but I also generally find myself uninterested in that type of content. My feelings on yuri/femslash are slightly different, I enjoy it just as much as het. as long as its written well. The reason being is that there is nothing I love more than strong female characters; and generally your guaranteed at least one of those in these kinds of pairings because they are generally the main characters in the story.
My feelings on harem pairings are similar to yuri/femslash in that as long as it's written well I don't mind it. I can imagine having deep loving emotional relationships with multiple but I can't personally see myself involved sexually with more than one person at a time. Having said that I am open to the fact that this isn't true for all people and I can enjoy reading about it just as much as anything else. However, one thing that I've come to note is that generally the larger the harem is in the story, the worse it is written so if i am to read a harem story I usually hope it will be limited to 3 people, but as in all things there are exceptions. It makes since though, it can be challenging enough trying to juggle two characters in a story romantically without adding a bunch of others.
Teen Titans: Raven x Jinx / Raven x Starfire / Raven x Beast Boy
Twilight: Bella x Alice (I'm not a huge fan of Edward to be honest; I found their "cannon" relationship to be kind of disturbing)
Final Fantasy VII: Vincent x Yuffie / Vincent x Tifa
Harry Potter: Harry x Luna / Harry x Tonks etc... (basically any of the less used females like I said, variety. It's a wonderful thing. That said, I'll read basically any pairing from this fandom)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Faith x Buffy
Favorite Types of Stories
I tend to like fics that usually center on the main character of the series. Like Naruto, Harry Potter, Danny Phantom etc.. There are exceptions of course, especially when there isn't a set main character, like in Teen Titans I prefer Raven, or in X-Men I really like Rogue.
Generally speaking I like stories to be novel in length, the longer the better.
Pet Peeves (in fics):
One of my biggest ones is when authors say "don't like don't read" or some variation. Why? All your doing is alienating possible readers who might come to enjoy your story even if it's not what they generally read. Maybe you just stopped that person from reading his/her first au or slash or whatever the case may be. I understand putting up labels for things like violence or pairing information but adding in that phrase makes it seems like you really don't want them to read your work. And yea, I understand maybe it can be seen as a preventative measure against flames or something; but, I don't know. It was always something that sort of bugged me, maybe that's just some weird little quirk about me.
Badly done self-inserts/OCs.
In crossovers when the character in the new fandom is able to fix any and all issues that the cast of the for lack of better term "home" fandom might face. This happens often in Naruto crossovers for example where Naruto ends up being pretty strong and casually taking care of and defeating any and all problems the main characters of the other fandom face and grow from. When this happens those characters often become somewhat unnecessary which really defeats the purpose of a crossover in the first place. Incidentally, this often has the side effect of making whoever the main character of that other series to be at best useless and at worst exaggerated into some sort of unrealistic asshole cum whipping boy to make Naruto as is the example here seem cooler. These kinds of stories are painful to read and I try to avoid them. Also, for whatever reasons these usually end up being stories where the "Naruto" has god like powers and is building a harem of every female character in the visiting series... An exaggeration? Maybe, but sometimes depressingly enough it doesn't feel like it.
Author notes in the middle of the chapters, especially when it generally isn't something all that useful. All it does is distract from the reading. It ruins the flow and my ability to become immersed in the story. If the author's note is important then save it for the end and I'll read it, promise.
Besides that I'll read pretty much anything. I try to give all types of stories a fair chance; I'm not that picky as long as it is done well.
Goals: to one day sit down and start writing a story that I can be proud of.
Story Ideas -
Against All Odds (Pokemon): Maya Stone - A bitter and lonely person, a ronin trainer who travels from place to place without aim. An accomplished trainer attempting to escape a troubled past. Alice Joy - A headstrong rookie trainer determined to prove to herself and her family that she can achieve her dream of becoming a talented and powerful pokemon trainer. The meeting between these two will create change the course of their lives forever.
Maya: daughter of fighting pokemon gym leader in Saffron, expanded in story.
Team (at start of story)- Kinkou (Medicham), Nix (Mismagius), Grace (Kirlia), Hazard (Muk), Sway (Hitmonchan)
Alice: daughter of Nurse Joy in Viridian and a member of the Joy family.
Team (at start of story)- Hercules (Machop), Simon (Beedril)
A story of two lost people meeting and finding something in the other that gives them something they didn't know they were missing as well as facing adversity in the face of family and difficulties and choosing to brave the scorn and disapproval of others in pursuit of your dreams.
There is much more to this and as of now I am writing character profiles and histories for the main characters and their pokemon. I also plan to have interaction with characters from the anime like Ash and his party as well as Gym Leaders and Team Rocket. Im a little worried and a little excited about this.
