Author has written 2 stories for Naruto, and Soul Eater.
Name: Oscar "O." Noah Bayer (My parent have a funny sense of humor)
Home: Atlanta, GA
Me: Hiya! I'm OhNoaBear and I like to read and occasionally write. I am an English major with interests in acting and theater, particularly Shakespeare as it is performed (not read!). I currently work security around the metro area, so if you see a guy with a face at a club it might just be me. I first started this so I would have an easier time finding the fanfictions I like reading. I might eventually post some work of my own. I treat fanfiction as the literary equivalent of greasy pizza or big bowls of ice-cream; nice while your having it, but not worth much in the long run (not to say that there aren't good writers or writings here, just that many of them are less than artistic). I love some good old fashioned WAFF (recently been on a family and romance binge) and the occasional, well written lemon, but I kinda hone in on particular fandoms and don't much like branching out, especially with crossovers. I am a low grade troper, so a few of my favorites are lifted straight from their Recommendation pages. I'd like to become a beta on here so that I can help some of these stories and authors become even better (it is damn near criminal how many good stories, characterizations, and premises are held back by sloppy grammar and/or lazy diction).
Fandoms: Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, Fairy Tail, Kim Possible, Harry Potter, Ace Attorney (haven't played any games save the first one though), Avatar: The Last Airbender, Fullmetal Alchemist, Soul Eater, Warcraft, Young Justice
Supported Pairings NaruSaku, NaruHina (no, I don't see a contradiction), ShikaTem, ChoIno, IchiHime, RenjixRukia, GinxRangiku, Nami@Luffy (one-sided), FrankyxRobin, NaLu, GrayxJuvia, GajeelxLevy, KimRon, One Big Happy Weasley Family, Kataang, Soki, Maiko, Tokka, Ursoda, Edwin, Royzai, SoulxMaka, ThrallxJaina (me and the canon are currently not on speaking terms), Spitfire, Super Martian (God, they can be a diabetes inducing couple in fanworks)
Accepted Pairings SasuSaku, KakaSaku, KibaHina, LeeHina, ShikaIno, NaruTema (like the 'arranged marriage' AU type a bit), IchiRukia, HitsuKarin, ZoroRobin, GrayErza, GellErza, FriedxMirajane, DrakkenxShego
Pet Peeves: Unnecessary repetition of words (the English language is broad enough that you should never need to use the same word twice in a paragraph for any reason other than emphasis or clarity), Rouge Angles of Satin (I understand that sometimes things fall through the cracks, but if this is a common complaint for you than you should take the time to reread your work with a dictionary in hand), That Makes Me Feel Angry (avoid narrating your characters feelings or mental state; make them clear through descriptions of expression, tone, and dialogue. TL;DR, Show Don't Tell), God Mode Characters (fun on occasion and with adequate justification, but I still find presenting obviously flawed characters as divine paragons disingenuous)
Some things worth saying
"The world is not as bad as you think."- Celty Sturluson
"If we shadowes have offended,/ Thinke but this (and all is mended)/ That you have but slumbered heere,/ While these visions did appear./ And this weake and idle theame/ No more yeelding but a dreame,/ Gentles, doe not reprehend./ If you pardon, we will mend./ And as I am an honest Pucke,/ If we have unearned lucke,/ Now to scape the Serpents tounge,/ We will make amends ere long:/ Else the puck a lyar call./ So good night unto you all./ Give me your hands, if we be friends,/ And Robin shall restore amends."- Robin Goodfellow, William Shakespeare's A Midsummernights Dream, Act V, lines 2207-22 (TL;DR: Don't take fiction so seriously. In the end, it is passing, a dream shared.)
"O for a Muse of fire, that would ascend/ The brightest heaven of invention,/ A kingdom for a stage, princes to act/ And monarchs to behold the swelling scene!/ Then should the warlike Harry, like himself,/ Assume the port of Mars; and at his heels,/ Leash'd in like hounds, should famine, sword and fire/ Crouch for employment. But pardon, gentles all,/ The flat unraised spirits that have dared/ On this unworthy scaffold to bring forth/ So great an object: can this cockpit hold/ The vasty fields of France? or may we cram/ Within this wooden O the very casques/ That did affright the air at Agincourt?/ O, pardon! since a crooked figure may/ Attest in little place a million;/ And let us, ciphers to this great accompt,/ On your imaginary forces work./ Suppose within the girdle of these walls/ Are now confined two mighty monarchies,/ Whose high upreared and abutting fronts/ The perilous narrow ocean parts asunder:/ Piece out our imperfections with your thoughts;/ Into a thousand parts divide on man,/ And make imaginary puissance;/ Think when we talk of horses, that you see them/ Printing their proud hoofs i' the receiving earth;/ For 'tis your thoughts that now must deck our kings,/ Carry them here and there; jumping o'er times,/ Turning the accomplishment of many years/ Into an hour-glass: for the which supply,/ Admit me Chorus to this history;/ Who prologue-like your humble patience pray,/ Gently to hear, kindly to judge, our play."- Chorus, William Shakespeare's History of King Henry V, lines 1-33 (TL;DR: Sometimes our vision outstrips our means; this does not make the vision less worthy nor the product less grand.)
"Ah may'd mah money bah bein' tougher than the toughies and smarrter than the smarrties, an' Ah may'd it square!"- Scrooge McDuck, every time anyone asks (and a few times they don't.)
