Author has written 17 stories for Naruto, Inuyasha, Labyrinth, Sherlock, and Big Bang Theory.
Free-time artist. Pseudo scientist. Sometimes writer. Avid reader.
A.B. in Bio-nerdery; M.S. in Neuro-nerdery. If only I could get a Ph.D. in fandom, we'd be set.
I can also be found on DeviantArt, Archive of Our Own, Tumblr, and Dokuga.
I started a Labyrinth Resource Blog because I am lazy and like to have my Labyrinth reference material for my fanfic writing available in one place. I thought others might too. There are also pretty, shiny gifs and screencap graphic thingies. And fanfic recommendations!
Answers to things you may or may not be wondering:
-I don't like for things to be tied up in a nice, neat little bow. I like to leave room for expansion. This particularly shows in my one-shots.
-I have far too many ideas for stories. Not being able to make them happen instantly is a source of physical pain for me.
-I am an unforgivably slow, overly analytical, overly self-critical writer. I will freely acknowledge this. It takes me forever and a day to update.
-I like to think that I'm creative, but contrary to my own belief, I can't be creative all the time. I take breaks to mull over ideas and what I've already written. Unfortunately for readers, these breaks can last weeks or months.
-I adore reviews, but being terrible when it comes to reviewing myself, I find it hypocritical to actively ask for them.
-For anyone interested, full versions of most my 'story covers' may be found on my DeviantArt account.
-My own growth as a hobbyist visual artist takes precedence over my hobby of fic writing (particularly with respect to how I allot my creative free time.) While I enjoy telling stories, I find the process of writing to be rather stressful. Doodling/drawing/painting, on the other hand, is relaxing and stress-reducing for me.
Planned (Tentative) Update/Story Posting Order:
1. Of Nowhere and Neverwhen Ch. 6 Goal Posting: March 16th (or the following few days). Draft is done. Revision and editing and making it generally readable stage.
2. Something Unusual, Something Strange Ch. 3 Goal Posting: After Item #1.
3. Loose Change- This one has kind of taken on a life of its own. Goal Posting: When it's done. If it ever gets done.
4. Molly Hooper and the Mirror Mystery Goal Posting: Before Sherlock Season 4. So, some time in the next 30 years or so.
Current Active Projects:
Of Nowhere and Neverwhen- J/S. My baby. Longish and adventurey. I've been fiddling with this story in my head for so long, that it's kind of strange for people to actually be reading it. It is also a spawner of ideas that don't fit within it, and likely the reason you keep getting 'glimpse into Sarah and Jareth's world' short fics that I continue to get complaints about. Also has fan art. More than one piece of fan art.And Ferron, which I guess is fan art.
Something Unusual, Something Strange- J/S. Sequel to 'Nothing Unusual, Nothing Strange.' Mostly to have something easy and fluffy and maybe a teensy bit snarky to work on when my main fan fiction project above is being cantankerous. Updates will be sporadic.
Info About Completed Projects:
If it's marked as complete, it probably is.
Animal Behavior- That's all she wrote. I can't bring myself to finish my unfinished Inuyasha stories at the moment, much less dredge up a facsimile of a plot for this. I don't plan on ever making a sequel to this, sorry.
Bitter and Biting- To accompany my artwork of the same title. It's just a short little thread of an idea that I had while working on the art and listening to "Alone Suite" composed by Daniel Licht.
Nothing Unusual, Nothing Strange- It started out as an exercise to get a feel for writing Jareth and Sarah. I like it because it's simple, and I don't want to complicate and ruin it. This has several sequels in progress but is itself complete.
Undertaking- Is done. This story was always intended to end the way it does, in a similar vein to its inspiration. What happens next is up to your imagination.
Projects on Hiatus:
Le Chat Blanc- 3/7ish. An accompaniment formy own fan art "The White Cat" (found on Dokuga or DA). Status: Hiatus of doom. I do want to finish this as it is completely plotted out with half of the next chapter written, but as of right now, I'm having difficulty finding the will to do so. Yes, I do feel guilty, but I haven't been inspired by anything Inuyasha in a very long time. I'm sorry. I almost want to post the uncompleted chapter along with my notes on how the rest of the story would have gone, but I'm still a bit reluctant to do that as I am deluded into thinking that I might actually poke at it again one day.
Quirks and Quarks- 28/42. Sesshoumaru. Kagome. The final frontier. Status: It will be finished some day. I feel slightly less guilty about this one not yet being finished. Only slightly.
The Propinquity Postulate- Shenny. This isn't really something that's being actively worked on. It's more of something that's been collecting dust on my hard drive since I last tried fiddling with it in January of last year. It will be posted until I run out of written material. Current Chapter Status: Last four drabbles need revision, and I'm slow in getting it done. It's literally at the bottom of my fic priorities at the moment. @_@; I'm sorry.
