Author has written 10 stories for Harry Potter, Dresden Files, and Kingkiller Chronicle. I can also be found on by the same name. If you join, you can get my updates ahead of time in the Work By Author section. My update schedule isn't regular, but since I'm in The 500 Club, I'm writing at least 500 words a day, which means you should get a new chapter at least once every week or two. =(.o0O0o.)= Story Status (as of April 10th, 2016) Why We Fight: Working on Chapter 5 (0/3000) - Chapter 4 posted. Main priority, got sidetracked by life. ACTIVE A new HP/DF crossover - yes, another one, blah blah blah - but this is an idea that I've had for much longer than Fracture. I never started writing it because I knew I couldn't do it justice, but I feel that my writing has improved to the point where I can take a good shot at it. This is currently occupying all my brainspace (Occupy Brain!), but the writing is going slow since I'm actually paying attention to my style. The Edge of a Broken Line: Chapter 1 written (3373/3373). Working on Chapter 2 (1361/3000). ABANDONED A new HP fic with a long back-story behind its inception. Have a chapter and a half already written, but I'll probably wait until I have chapter 3 done before I start posting here. Pulled Away: Three-shot, part 1: (2389/2389). Part 2: (0/2500). Random thing I started forever ago on a whim. First third is done and posted. ABANDONED In Fire I Trust: Working on chapter 4, and plotting (0/????) - Chapter 3 posted. Probably more likely to be updated than WWF, but we'll see. ACTIVE My answer to all the Harry/Marcone slash stories over on AO3 (which this will not be, by the way - there's no determined pairing, but Harry is straight), and what will hopefully become one of the few full-length purely Dresden stories without angst in every fucking chapter. Fracture: Working on Chapter 4 (336/3000) - Not posted anywhere yet. ABANDONED Something that seemed like a good idea at the time, and still seems like one, but not something that I have the urge to work on very often anymore. Part of the problem, I think, is a lack of a clearly defined ending in my mind, and it's really something I've been having trouble coming up with, but I'll still push forward when other things come to a halt. Thunderstorm: Complete! Hallelujah! Time to work on other things. I'm relatively proud of this story. The writing... not so much, especially the first few chapters. Still, it's my second serious attempt at writing a full-length story, and the first one that's going to be completed. It's nearly done, I promise. Though due to (valid) criticism from them folks over at DLP, Chapter 10 isn't going to be the last chapter. Madness of Love: Complete. A one-shot I wrote for DLP's humor contest. Looking back, there are some parts I like... and some parts I don't. Hypocrisy: Complete. Something I wrote for a request. Probably not ever going to continue it, but you never know. Freedom Everburning: Abandoned. My first serious attempt at writing a full length story - no, belay that, my first serious attempt at writing any sort of fiction at all. It fizzled out for various reasons (not the least of which was my laziness), but I'm not going to continue it at this point. The writing would hold me back, I don't want to rewrite it. I plan to eventually come back to the main idea of the story and rewrite the whole thing from scratch, including a vastly more AU universe. =(.o0O0o.)= April 10, 2016: Posted chapter 3 of IFIT. Most of it's been done for a while, but finally finished it a couple weeks ago. This is probably the story I'm most likely to work on when I feel like writing, but I wouldn't expect anything. October 9, 2013: Posted chapter 4 of WWF. No promises on future chapters, though I'll probably finish WWF eventually. The sequel's loosely plotted out and, frankly, much more exciting, but the first few chapters are giving me trouble. 4/4: Just came back from Spring Break and a very difficult 3(!) weeks before and of finals. Back to writing, or at least trying. Fics are now sorted in order of priority. 2/8: Updated my story status just so everybody knows what's going on. Depending on what I do with Broken Line, I'll probably have an update (or a new story) up within a week. 1/19: In Fire I Trust Chapter 2 has been posted. 1/12: Thunderstorm Chapter 10 has been posted. Also note my new story tracker above, which will be updated with my progress fairly often so you know where things are at. 12/7: I've posted the first chapter of my new Dresden Files story, In Fire I Trust. I'm working on the last chapter of Thunderstorm at the moment and hope to have it done by the end of the week. 11/3: Thunderstorm Chapter 9 has been posted. The promised interlude should be up in a few days... hopefully. Chapter 10 (the last!) should be done in a few weeks. Fracture updates will be sporadic, as I've started another project for DLP's Nov/Dec contest, and it's going to be a long one. 10/25: Ack! Had midterm, got sick, had more midterms. Back to writing, sorta. Fracture Chapter 3 posted. Thunderstorm Chapter 9 is in progress, as is a one-shot I started a while ago. Don't know which will I'll finish first. 10/4: Thunderstorm Chapter 8 has been posted, only 6 days after chapter 7. Lucky you, heh. Fracture Chapter 3 will be done either tomorrow or Thursday. 9/28: Thunderstorm Chapter 7 has finally been posted! Future updates will be faster, I promise. 9/27: Fracture Chapter 2 has been posted. Thunderstorm Chapter 7 will be done tomorrow, and hopefully posted then as well! 9/20: Oops. Thunderstorm Chapter 7 is in progress, I promise! New story posted, and I'll be working on them simultaneously. 8/24: Chapter 6 was posted yesterday. Awesome to see the response pick up. Also got a hilarious anon review: "1st Person POV means this story sucks, don't even have to read past the first sentence to know im going to hate this story. Write it in 3rd person and ill give it a try." Uh, yeah, fuck you. A few of the best fantasy fiction series' are written in First Person POV - The Kingkiller Chronicles and The Dresden Files, to name two. Don't spew your idiocy, nobody wants to hear it. 8/16: Chapter 5 has been posted, making it a month since I posted Chapter 1 here. Most of it was written yesterday and the final scene was written today. Don't know if I'll be able to keep up this update rate, but I'll almost certainly have the next chapter out by next Wednesday the 24th. 8/11: Chapter 4 was posted yesterday. May or may not be moving to a biweekly updating schedule, depending on RL stuff and motivation. 8/1: Chapter 3 posted. Chapter 4 is finally progressing normally, should be done by the end of the week. Also just scribbled out a random one-shot for a request. 7/27: Chapter 2 posted. Chapter 3 should be up by the weekend, hopefully - my computer troubles have been sorted out. 7/21: Sorry for the delay - I had planned to post Chapter 2 yesterday, but two things happened: my computer broke and several reviewers on DLP suggested some very necessary changes to the ending. I ought to be able to get it up by the weekend, I hope. Chapter 3 likewise requires some editing, and chapter 4 is in progress. 7/16: Posted the first chapter of my new story, Thunderstorm. I slacked off for a while but now I'm writing consistently again, so updates should be once every two weeks or so, at the latest. 5/5: If anybody cares, I'm not dead and I'm still writing. I've got a finished one-shot that I'll be releasing soon (whenever the judges for the competition finish judging, hopefully within the week). I've also started working on a fic for the (hopefully) upcoming Romance competition on DLP, in 2-3 months. I won't be posting it until it's done and been judged (whichever comes last), but I hope to get it done before the competition ends. It'll be 60-80k words long (current estimate) and the pairing was inspired by hilarious insanity on DLP. I've gotten 3.6k words done in 3 days so here's hoping I can keep up the pace. As for Freedom Everburning, it's been put on the backburner. At the earliest, expect an update in a couple of weeks. Or a couple of months, depending on how things go. It's not abandoned, but it's far from my first priority. 3/30: I wrote 4k words in the last two days, leading to Chapter 3 being out Wednesday, today, instead of next Monday. If I can keep up the pace, I'll have this story finished in 3-5 months instead of 1.5 - 2 years, as per my original estimate with 500 words a day. I've found that I can actually keep up the pace more easily with 2k words a day so I'll continue for as long as I can. Hopefully I can get the bulk of the story done before my upper-level econ classes start with a bunch of essays. 3/20: I've got Chapter 1 ready to update, but FFN is being stupid and not allowing any modifications to the story. I've seen several other authors complaining about this, so I know it's not just me and hopefully will be fixed soon. Chapter 2 ought to be up by Friday. |
