![]() Author has written 3 stories for Castle. I'm Miranda, 31, married to my high school sweetheart, Joel, and mom to two wonderful boys, Fletcher (7) and Cormac (5). I live in Northern Michigan and wish, wish, wish I had friends to geek out with over Castle. Probably doesn’t help that I truly don’t know that many people… I work full-time (primarily writing and research), plus freelance on the side, so I’m constantly plagued by working mom’s guilt. I discovered Castle FanFiction in March 2011. I am forever amazed at the storytelling and quality writing that this fandom produces. So much so, that I’m embarrassed by the start of Freeze, Thaw, Reheat. I had no idea you all would care so much about grammar and little errors when I first started, but I love you all even more for it and apologize for mine! Someday, I will go back and fix them. I love reading what you all write as much as I like writing. For those of you wondering, I do plan to finish Freeze, Thaw, Reheat. I took Summer 2012 off because older son made a comment about me preferring Castle over spending time with them. And, as much as it pains me to admit it, he was right. I wasn’t doing things with them—things that I enjoy doing like going for hikes, to the beach or just generally hanging out—all in favor of reading and writing and watching and Castle tumblr-stalking. So, I quit cold turkey. I’m back now, trying to be more discriminating and less wrapped up. I try to save Castle FanFic for when they’re in bed or otherwise occupied, but life is busy. I started a new story Labor Day Weekend just to get back into writing and because the idea wouldn’t leave me alone. I refuse to post that until it’s done (can't have you all thinking I'm incapable of finishing what I start), but when it is, I'll post it and finish FTR. You can find me on Twitter @ShotsyGirl. I changed my fanfic penname from MerryMerryMe to ShotsyGirl because ShotsyGirl was available on Twitter and I’m just more familiar with it…it’s been my go-to since high school and I already had an online presence with it.
