Author has written 16 stories for Warhammer, and BlazBlue.

I am from Vietnam and I am a Warhammer 40k enthusiast. In my opinion, the universe it creates beats Star Wars in terms of vastness and details. However, GW squanders this potential by their over-marketing and lack of imagination. The most fun anyone could have in the Warhammer 40k universe at the moment is in fanfiction, which is where I am right now. I used to read 1 Black Library Novel per month. It's been 6 months since I last bought anything from them. All the new novels are just treading the old path, offering nothing new, nothing special, nothing exciting. Bolter-porn Space Marine actions are supposed to be fun and exhilarating, but the bullshit forced drama many times completely ruins that. I want to see actions. I want to see ass getting kicked. I want to see Space Marines doing awesome things. How hard is it to do that? Even a 15-year-old could write it for his creative writing assignment.

My favourite factions are the Eldar and Grey Knights. I ran the two armies together when I was still playing on the tabletop. Got a pretty good win ratio overall without using any Eldar formation, Jetbikes, Wraithknight or Warp Spider, though I do use the Grey Knight cheese detachment that allows Deepstrike on turn one and 2 Dreadknights. My tactics usually consisted of swarming the opponent's deployment zone right off the bat with Deepstrike, Personal Teleporter and Farseer using Gate of Infinity to get Fire Dragons in place. Most games I played were very fast-paced, as I do not check the rulebook/Codex often. Additionally, they tended to end on turn 3 with either me wiping off the enemy or the opposite.

Most of my stories will have the Eldar in them. The Grey Knights will be unlikely to be the main focus since they are the ultimate Gary-Stu among the Space Marines and are likely to be one-dimensional and boring. On the other hand, the Grey Knights do have some decent stories from the Black Library. The Eldar got completely butchered by Gav Thorpe. The fact his novels are pretty much the only Eldar-focused novels out there outside the ones by CS Goto, is depressing. Now everyone who lacks imagination is going to turn into full retard by reading his novels and believe it is the real thing (all Black Library novels are fanfiction, by the way, just like the ones posted here). Gav Thorpe writes good Space Marine novels. I really enjoy his Dark Angels novels. They are stupid, but they are stupidly fun. The Eldar novels feature bland characters, forced relationship, dumb decisions being taken, bad pacing and worst of all, the way the Eldar fight is not much different from Space Marines. Eldar are supposed to be elusive and manipulative. Neither of these characteristics is seen in the novels.

I am currently working as a banker. This is my first job and so I am busy as hell. As a result, I will not be able to give out as many reviews as before.

Boots First by dontaskimdissapointed reviews
A drop trooper is thrust into combat for the first time. He will have to learn fast in the cauldron of war or die. The conflict is not as simple as it would seem, and Sev will have his faith and better judgement put to the test. Action does start a little late in the story. Big thanks to anon on /tg/ for cover image. Put on indefinite hold so I can work on a new story.
