NOTICE ON 'STAND'
"I must lose myself in action, lest I wither in despair."
Writing keeps me somewhat sane as I live, day by day, with a rare brain disease called Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension which has left me with a partially paralyzed hand, a poor memory, failing vision and hearing, holes in my skull, tubes in my brain, and a true sense of twisted humor, among other things.
I love pretty much any RPG by BioWare, fantasy, sci-fi, historical fiction, and speculative fiction.
Before I got sick, I taught music and played several instruments in various orchestras and symphonies around the San Diego area, so many of my stories have musical themes.
I'm not afraid of dealing with controversial topics and themes, don't have much use for mainstream religion, and believe in equality for all, regardless of skin color, ethnicity, country of origin, spiritual belief, sexual orientation or sexual identity, so if you don't like stories where, potentially, the priests are the "bad guys" and the loving family is made up of two mothers, two fathers, or multiples of either of the aforementioned, you won't like mine either. Consider yourself warned.
You Just Have to Stand: "I never wanted to be a mage, never wanted the curse that infects my blood without any known cure but the living death known as tranquility." F!Hawke/Anders, multiple viewpoints.
Compromise: One shot. Bree Hawke is done waiting for Anders to "do the deed", so Isabela talks her into going straight to the source of her problems: Justice! F!Hawke/Anders, F!Hawke/Justice. SMUT! (Although my bestie has informed me it's more of a lime than a lemon. Thanks, Chris, I love you too.)
The Selkie: "Now this was a long time ago; I was living as a lay brother in the Chantry in Kirkwall. Well, what should happen one night, but I should see a selkie..." Short story about F!Hawke and Sebastian. Lemon in chapter 3.
Free: "I always hoped someday I'd be free, But here I am trapped behind bars you won't see." Poem about Anders' thoughts concerning the years he spent in the Circle, and the scars left on his soul and spirit.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Absolution:"Everyone forgives me, but I cannot forgive myself..." Free verse from the viewpoint of the former Dark Lord Revan as she deals with her past. Suicide theme. Previously published as Revan's Suicide under my old account, polished and changed quite a bit.
The Sacrifices Claimed by Victory: Three years after the defeat of the Republic Armada at the Star Forge, Lord Revan says the words she never thought she would say again. Previously published under my old account, I've polished and changed it a bit.
