These guys are obviously going to try to rob you blind. Lately, I've been getting several of these messages per week, about 5 from different accounts with the same cookie-cutter message of how they were inspired by my works or the ways I bring my words to life. Afterwards, they claim they want to collaborate and add to it by giving me art. Of course, there's no such thing as a free lunch. Do yourself a favor and avoid them like the plague they are or troll them by telling them you already have an artist or to do a free drawing of your stories with only recognition as payment, and how glad they should be to bask in your glorious time. Frankly, I don't reply to these message and delete them immediately. Unless you're a real artist, try and show me how I can view your art without links that either obviously have a virus or will lead to my wallet being drained dry. Plus, I cannot pay for commissions willy-nilly, let alone get an artist to do all my covers for what I charge on commissions myself. Anyway, sorry for the rant, but it's gotten tiresome to see the EXACT SAME stupidly obvious message pop so often. What boils my blood and makes me call these guys morons is that they even have an obvious [INSERT RECENT STORY NAME HERE TO SCAM THIS GUY] formats. Expect me to not trust you at all unless the message seems sincere instead of copy-pasted. -COMMISSIONS (STILL) CLOSED WITH GOOD NEWS- Thank God, I've finally finished moving to my new place, finished my degree course with flying colors, and can focus on writing on my free time. Having said that, I will try to focus on the stories I've got on the list before I think of writing more. Once again, if someone wishes to approach me, and is willing to wait, I am open towards negotiating for commission details as I can always use the extra income. However, I will warn ahead of time that I am extremely busy both with personal matters and professional matters, so any writing I will do will be done at leisure. It will be done, but otherwise, please be patient. -COMMISSION INFO- PRICES: -A 5k words story will be worth 10 US dollars, a 10k words story is 20 USD, 15k words would cost 30 USD, 20k words one would be 40 USD, and so on. -Research fee is 1 dollar for chapter/episode of anything I may need to watch/read for information since reading a wiki doesn't help too much. Like, I don't have an interest in soap operas, but if you want me to use one, then it'd be a dollar per episode. -Furry/yaoi is an extra 3 dollars per chapter. -Massive harem fee is another 2 dollars per commissioned chapter. You can ask for it, but harems in the double digits or over 5 lovers for any kind of character is not easy to pull off while keeping a story's plot flowing naturally, so I'm charging extra. IMPORTANT: The reason I charge so cheap is because I will take my time when writing these stories because I've got a full-time job and I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so do expect me to be a tad neurotic when trying to do your stories as best I can even if I take forever and a day to do them. So, yes, it'd be preferable if you asked for short stories if possible, but I'll still try my best with any long ones. RULES: 1. Contact me in this site via private message to discuss your request. First, I'll need you to give as many details as possible of what you want so that we can discuss it. Please, don't just come and say "hi" or ask how I'm doing to make small talk, just try to politely tell me what you wish me to write. 2. Know I value my privacy so keep all info I give you about myself between us and no one else, thank you. 3. Payment after I agree to do the story, delivery will be discussed in private and the commission will be made when it's your turn, so be patient since I've got a job. 4. I will accept smut requests, but please do NOT ask me for gore, ryona (beating up women or men just to cause pain), anything involving feces or urine, bestiality, farting, diapers, vore, or death. Some items can be discussed, but if I charge extra for it, that is my way of telling you that I am not comfortable with it. 5. You may pay extra for it, but you can make requests for yaoi and furry stuff. I'm okay with yuri, though. However, as stated in the previous point, if I am not all that comfortable with a topic, you should read rules 10, 11, and 12 in full detail. 6. Only the SFW stuff will be posted here, I'll keep the spicy stuff - smuts - between the commissioner and myself but said commissioner can share it if they want. 7. Remember, it's 10 US dollars for a 10k-word one-shot, 20 dollars for a 20k words one, and so on. 8. Stuff like netorare or other such mean-spirited tropes which aren't on the list of the big no-nos are up for discussion, but I can still say no if I don't feel like I could do them. For example, I could do humiliation, but not to a character who I feel does not deserve it. 9. Character bashing is a complicated subject, so here: a) bashing is putting a character one dislikes for personal reasons in a negative light and having bad things happen to them. I get when that should happen, such as properly punishing a smug character who canonically steals without learning anything or facing repercussions for the crime. Anyone who escapes Karma in their original story can be fair game, but read the following pieces before you jump at the chance. b) there are times, mostly when excessive, that bashing harms the story since dedicating a section of any work to such negativity drains all fun out for me. Yes, I'm a hypocrite since I used to do it, but being mad at something isn't fun, so I try to let bygones be bygones. Dedicating time, effort, and sanity just to hate a character in a story needs to have purpose for the plot, not just hating for hatred's sake. c) should you request me to bash someone, know I may as well not write the character in the story or go at it with more comedic effects like, say, a thief being caught and having to work a really bad job to pay off the debt by shoveling manure or something like that. Better to have a proper and swift punishment rather than extending the story with a rant about why someone sucks when enough evidence exists about the fact. d) don't expect me to dedicate a full story to be negative about a character, I want to write for fun, not just venting anger I'm already too jaded to hold in my heart. 10. Respect between us will be needed, which should be self-explanatory, but if I disagree on something or am having trouble remembering something, don't rant at me, insult me, or act like I am meant to bow down to your every whim. I am human, so understand I am not going to think the same way you do, and that I am not in any way, shape or form obligated to be a yes-man. You may pay for my services, but I am still the one writing the story. 11. No refunds if I am disrespected. During one particular encounter with a party which I won't name, I decided to not give refunds to anyone who lashes out at me with no good reason. For example, yelling at me for voicing that I am uncomfortable with a certain topic, disregarding my repeated statements of discomfort for said topic, or ranting at me for not enjoying or getting into something you force me to read/watch whether or not I've been paid for it. 12. Your commission will be cancelled and you will not get refunded if you repeatedly ignore my warnings, and/or lash at me for no good reason. Take into account this: a) If I get insulted, we can try and talk it out. Mistakes can be made and humans tend to err a lot. Let's try and be civilized and acknowledge when we get needlessly angry instead of saying something we may regret. b) Should I feel the offense is serious enough, like snapping about a decision of mine due to a bad day or constantly demanding I do something I am not alright with, I shall give a warning which I hope is not ignored. c) Actual disrespect like yelling how you don't care about my opinions will end with me just downright not allowing more commissions. You can get the ones you paid for so I don't feel like I've wasted my time and that you didn't waste your money, but you'd do better not talking to me further until it's your turn. d) You will get neither your money nor your story if you commit a repeated offense such as insulting me after a warning, and/or if you do what I warned/requested you not to do or talk about about. Basically, you get one fair warning, maybe a second chance. If it's quite serious such as using foul language from the start for any minor disagreement, you're also out. 13. Wait until it is your turn before changing what you have in mind for your story. Keep this in mind: a) Preferrably DON'T request an entirely new story when I am in the middle of writing your original request or have already begun writing said commission. b) I know people can change their minds, so you CAN change your requests for the same amount of words you paid for only if I haven't written anything for it. c) Once I get started, you CAN add small requests if they are mostly about specific details to the story such as a certain characters interacting. d) We can absolutely discuss the course of the story as I write it and show you my progress, like perhaps the heroes taking the route to the castle instead of a forest. e) You CAN ask for a complete change before I begin writing your commission, but you CANNOT add more words without paying extra. -REBRANDING MYSELF- I was known as The Swordslinger a while ago, and got so tired of what I was doing, constantly burning myself out, that I ended up losing all inspiration for it. After a while, I got myself shackled to the Naruto franchise without any love towards it. Deleting everything had been on my mind for years, and I am not kidding. I've actually had at some point like 5 or so years ago considered just deleting all the stories I had and moving on, disappearing and not looking back. After years of stories without endings, forcing myself to keep up the energy, and try to appease those who hated my ideas for how I used Naruto, it just didn't make me happy at all. There was no joy and any time I attempted something new, I was going around in circles. My main problem is that I felt trapped, like everything I did had to use Naruto not as a character but as a brand to keep readers coming. Of course, that led to a parasitic dependence where I was just going nowhere. Like, how many of my stories were action/adventure with comedy involving Naruto? And I would prefer to do horror, parodies, fantasy... other types of adventures with different franchises and ideas. Now I want to rebrand, this is not to say I won't do stories with Naruto, but I want to do new stuff, try new fandoms. There are shows I am really into right now, and I want to continue writing because I just enjoy creating stories that I can have fun reading, hopefully without The Lord Of Pages biting at my heels like the little man he is being an inch shorter than me. Either way, yes, I will try and continue doing the commissions - I will rewrite a few if needed -, but I just needed a fresh start without a ball and chain around my ankle reminding me that I didn't finish everything. |
