![]() Author has written 1 story for Harry Potter. Name: ??? (If I trust you then I’ll tell you) Gender: Male Anime: Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Bleach, Slam Dunk, Gundam Seed/Destiny, Black cat, Fate/Stay night, Yu Yu Hakusho and many more actually. Books: Harry Potter (Book 1 to 5), Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Lord of the rings, Narnia series, Twilight. Manga: Nurarihyon no mago, The Breaker: new waves, Fairy tail, Maid-Sama. Movies: There’s a lot actually. I watch too many movies in my life. Thanks to my friend for showing this site to me. Because of that, I able to ignore book 5 to 7 and just read the stories in fanfiction. I developed a hobby of writing my own stories this year. It takes my mind off reality and just be in my own little world. Mind you, my English is not that good. I'm still in the process of learning English and it's not my first language. I repeat it's not my first language. So when I write stories there probably some errors, grammars, spelling and more. My own opinion on Harry Potter: I recently found an obsession about Harry Potter, just this year. If I have to, I’ll spend the whole day reading Harry Potter stories in fanfiction. Usually I browsed other categories when I’m surfing fanfiction but this time I’m just hook on Harry Potter. While I am a fan of Harry Potter, I did not enjoy reading book 6 and 7. My only favorites were book 1 to 4. I can tolerate book 5 but I found the idea of book 6 next to be terrible. While the plot was kind of brilliant to me but I just shut my eyes from reading book 6 ever again and let it rot in some kind of dark cupboard with spiders as it new friends. Harry didn’t even grieve about Sirius or thinking through about his destiny. What’s up with that? Why isn’t he mourning over Sirius death? I thought he would be, judging how his reaction was when Sirius got killed. And then there was Dumbledore confronting the Dursleys concerning Harry’s abuse and I honestly say that it was next to nothing to me. I mean, where’s the anger? Nothing. Come’ on, everyone who had a grip of sanity or being a human would feel very angry, even outrage that a child being made into slave and abuse for the rest of his/her childhood life. And there’s Ginny Weasley who suddenly became the main heroine of Harry Potter because he was the hero’s love interest and no longer Hermione be the main heroine, I’m more than disappointed. All of the sudden, Ginny snatched all the good characteristics off Hermione. It’s like all of the characters turned into a new person, every each one of them. And Neville and Luna. They both have a major role in the previous book and now book 6, they just shot down to a minor character with little interactions? It’s crap. Reading back book 1 to 5 and then continued on to book 6 just spoil everything. It didn’t make sense to me at all. In general, I’m appalled by book 6 (It’s filled with OOCness!) and after finish reading it, I was tempted to not read book 7. Due to being a fan of Harry Potter, I found a sense of obligation to just finish it off once and for all. Some parts in book 7 were okay to me and I really like it but half part was just downright dreadful. Even I found book 2 to be the best of all Harry Potter’s books. Come’ on, the part about the Basilik was just plain genius! However that impression shot down after reading book 5 to 7. Don’t get me started with the romance and the epilogue! The epilogue made all of my mini-Harry-Potter-fan to just completely disappear from me. Why did J.K. Rowling named one of Harry’s son ‘Albus Severus’? That’s horrible name! Why, indeed... And the pairings! The pairings! So, in the end my conclusion would be that Rowling has no talent in writing romance but her talent lies in adventure genre which I admittedly salute her for that. Pairings I like: Harry/Hermione: Now I won’t lie to anyone but this pairing by far to me makes utterly sense and the best. By reading the canon of 1 to 6 (few parts of book 6) I kind of asked myself why Rowling didn’t pair them instead. They maybe cliché but they just suited to one another. The clues were all there. There were all in the books. Why Hermione choose Harry and put him first than any other person or why would Harry feel really comfortable talking to her rather than any other girls. Well, some cases maybe because of his upbringings and so on but that’s not the point. All the touch, the things they’ve gone through – just ignore the third member of their group – I mean isn’t it obvious already? I even thought they’re going to end up together at the conclusion of the book, just by reading book 1 but that’s what just disappointed me more at the ending. Falling for your best friend is the best thing that could ever happen to anyone and I don’t believe he’s my brother or I think of her as my sister crap. I really don’t believe that. If it so true then why can’t Ron and Hermione be the brother and sister? (Because Rowling wanted to pair them from the very beginning). Even I don’t see most of my best friends like that. As long as you’re not related by blood, then by all means romance always spark even if the person didn’t realize it. Let’s not forget the sexual tension too. That’s just the way world is and I experience it myself. Harry/Daphne: Just like everyone else, there are so many things you can think of with this pairing. Come’ on, Golden boy of Gryffindor with Ice Princess of Slytherin, anything could happen! And it will be a good one! This is my number one pairing with Harmony close to second. Harry/Fleur: I found the idea as most people do about the Veela bond really compelling and I really like the idea of it. There’s also the fact that both have caught the crowd’s attention like Harry being the boy-who-lived and Fleur with her veela allure and then they found that each other understand how they hate the attention and they struck the romance from there. After reading most of the pairing fanfiction stories, this pairing is perhaps one of my favorites. Harry/Tonks: At first, I never like this pairing but gradually I began to after reading few of their stories. It might have something to do with Tonks personality or that, she doesn’t deserve to be with Remus. Harry/other canon characters: I’d like to see Harry with the other characters in the canon like the three Gryffindor Chasers (Alicia, Angelica and Katie) or some of the others from the other houses including the Slytherins. I don’t mind seeing him with somebody else and not with the ones he close with (Hermione, Ginny or Luna). I actually thought it would be a great idea. Even I have some of the stories of him being paired with someone else in my favorite stories list. Harry/multi: Generally, I always am searching for Harry/harem. I just think Harry deserves to be more than one girl, what with the abuses he went through. And I do enjoy reading this kind of story. James/Lily: Okay, this is obviously different from the pairings above but I do enjoyed reading stories about this pairing. Even though I write in my story about them being horrible parents to Harry but I never have any ill feelings to them and I really like the thought of them being together. I’m seriously considered on writing them to be a better character in my story at the middle way of my story. Pairings okay to me: Harry/Luna: This pairing is okay to me and Luna does have a major role in book 5. Even I feel that both of them have some kind of connection and thought that if Harry didn’t get to be with Hermione or Ginny, Luna would. Besides, her character is the most interesting in Harry Potter. Harry/Ginny: After I read stories that involve in Harry being with more than one girl and Ginny in it, then I’m fine with it. The only reason this pairing is not in my favorite list is due to the canon. She doesn’t have character development and her interactions with Harry were only few. If they supposed to be soulmate (as Rowling put it) then they must have struck long conversation or spending time with each other more than few occasions to be more connected and developed deep bond with each other but in book 6, there’s none of that. I honestly don’t mind Harry together with her, if only Rowling put more effort to place Ginny interactions and moments with Harry in book 1 - 5 but evidently that’s a big NO. If Rowling really intended to make Ginny Harry’s one and only then she should at least attempt to make Ginny appear more in the books (Chamber of Secrets doesn’t count). Pairings I dislike: Remus/Tonks: This just plain wrong to me. Tonks is bubbly and I really think she doesn’t deserve to be with Remus even though Remus is okay to me. I mean both of their age is kind of fifteen years apart with Remus being friends with Harry’s parents. That’s like an old man having young beautiful second wife which happens in most stories, rumors or news. No offence to Remus but this pairing is just kind of terrible to me and doesn’t work that way to me. Obviously, Rowling put little thought on this pairing. It also came out of the blue. All of the sudden they just shipped off and informed Harry that they’re married and expecting a child? Ron/Hermione: Okay maybe I’m biased because I love Harry/Hermione but hey, sue me. Ron is perhaps the most idiot person I have ever known. He’s also a very jealous git. He thinks people should give him something or credit because he deserve it but has no intention on earning it. It doesn’t suit with Hermione that way. She works hard enough to earn all that. What conversation could they hold? Maybe some yelling and joking but does that count deep conversation? No, of course not. Hermione is intelligent and she needs someone who can have intelligent conversation with her, and Ron is not a good match. To top it off he’s lazy and always mistreated Hermione. Besides, all they ever did is arguing a lot to the point it irritated Harry. Does that consider a bicker married couple? Umm...NO! More like they’re a competitive of brother and sister to me, just like how I view my year younger sister. One time I argue with her all day long and the next thing we’re watching TV together, laughing and joking. This pairing is absolutely worst in my opinion, and I really think they don’t match with each other. They have nothing in common for god sake! This pairing just strike me wrong! I’m somewhat confused why the hell Rowling wanted to pair them together if they don’t match with each other. Doesn’t all relationship based on conversation, sweet interactions and not arguing a lot? Do all couples that are like this pairing last long? Opposite attraction? Please, there is different meaning to that term when it comes to romance. And like the epilogue said they have kids and married to each other. I bet they argue a lot and their marriage have a failing out but they kept it in private. And I really don’t know what Hermione see in him so that’s that. I read someone's profile before that Ron is the walking epitome of most of the Seven Deadly sins and I must say, I agree with the author... Yes, I dislike Ron Weasley for many reasons. Slash: Umm, homosexual really make my stomach lurched in bad direction and I really shudder at the thought of it. This thought doesn’t appeal to me at all. |
