Author has written 13 stories for NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, and Mindy Project.
I discovered fan fiction several years ago, when the powers that be on my favorite show were moving in a direction I didn't like. Reading other writers' interpretations of episodes, plus taking things in completely different directions than the real shows was liberating and intoxicating. I was hooked.
But I never planned to write them myself. Then, life became stressful, and a good friend encouraged me to get my creative juices flowing, and use writing, which I had loved in a previous life, as a type of free therapy. And thus, a monster was created.
I'm not the most prolific fanficiton writer, partly because I just don't have the time. I also know that writing is just an outlet for me, and I don't have the creativity or talent that many of the authors on here posess. So far, I've mainly done tags for episodes, but occasionally, an original idea will take hold. Unlike some writers, I don't write for others. I aim to please myself. Reviews are wonderful, but getting my ideas on paper is the real payoff for me.
I am completely addicted to NCIS and NCIS:LA, and they are the only fandoms I have written thus far, but I definitely read others. I am a die-hard Tiva fan (thus my frustration with the show), but the more I read, the more I can appreciate other ships- Zibbs, Gabby, McAbby. And I have recently discovered the underappreciated Nallen ship from LA, and am hooked. Neric is cute, but too obvious for my tastes. And who can help but love Densi? Maybe someday I'll delve into a case-fic, but I like the shippy fics best.
I love a lot of things I read here, and try to review accordingly. I don't hand out favorites very liberally- only if a story really moves me. But I applaud everyone who takes the time to author a story, and hope that maybe something of mine will move you, too.
