Author has written 2 stories for Hetalia - Axis Powers, Harry Potter, and Avengers.
So I unearthed this when going through my closet, it never really made it past this stage so I figured I'd put it here just because I wouldn't be writing a story of it.
The Letter in the Cave
"Could we see when and where we are to meet again, we would be more tender when we bid our friends goodbye." - Ouida
He thought at first when he knocked on Hagrid's cabin door that he was out, but then Fang came charging around the corner and almost bowled him over with the enthusiasm of his welcome. Hagrid, it transpired, was picking runner beans in his back garden.
"All righ', Harry!" he said, beaming, when Harry approached the fence. "Come in, come in, we'll have a cup o' dandelion juice ..."
"How's things?" Hagrid asked him, as they settled down at his wooden table with a glass apiece of iced juice. "Yeh-er-feelin' all righ', are yeh?"
Harry knew from the look of concern on Hagrid's face that he was not referring to Harry's physical well-being.
"I'm fine," Harry said quickly, because he could not bear to discuss the thing that he knew was in Hagrid's mind. "So, where've you been?"
"Bin hidin' out in the mountains," said Hagrid. "Up in a cave, like Sirius did when he-"
Hagrid broke off, cleared his throat gruffly, looked at Harry, and took a long draught of juice.
"Anyway, back now," he said feebly.
"You-you look better," said Harry, who was determined to keep the conversation moving away from Sirius.
"What?" said Hagrid, raising a massive hand and feeling his face. "Oh-oh yeah. Well, Grawpy's loads better behaved now, loads. Seemed right pleased ter see me when I got back, ter tell yeh the truth. He's a good lad, really ... Ive bin thinkin abou tryin ter find him a lady friend, actually ..."
Harry would normally have tried to persuade Hagrid out of this idea at once; the prospect of a second giant taking up residence in the Forest, possibly even wilder and more brutal than Grawp, was positively alarming, but somehow Harry could not muster the energy necessary to argue the point. He was starting to wish he was alone again, and with the idea of hastening his departure he took several large gulps of his dandelion juice, half-emptying his glass.
"Ev'ryone knows yeh've bin tellin' the truth now, Harry" said Hagrid softly and unexpectedly. He was watching Harry closely. "Tha's gotta be better, hasn' it?"
"Look ..." Hagrid leaned towards him across the table, "I knew Sirius longer 'n yeh did ... he died in battle, an tha's the way he'd've wanted ter go-"
"He didn't want to go at all!" said Harry angrily.
Hagrid bowed his great shaggy head.
"Nah, I don' reckon he did," he said quietly. "But still, Harry ... he was never one ter sit aroun' at home an' let other people do the fightin'. He couldn've lived with himself if he hadn' gone ter help-" Hagrid cut himself off suddenly, large hands digging into his pockets before he pulled out an envelope. "I foun' this in the cave an', seein how it has yer name on it, I reckon its best it goes to yeh."
Harry took the envelope, it was a plain white one that is customary for muggle letters but the seal- a bright red circle with a golden lion on it- moved indicating it was magical. Turning it over to examine the back Harry felt something catch in his throat because there, in his godfather's graceful but casual writing, was his name- but not only his. "It has Professor Lupin's name under mine." He informed Hagrid dumbly.
"Yah, I jus' saw yeh firs' so I though tha-" Hagrid said.
Harry was standing now, clutching the letter to his chest. "I-I have to go- Ron and Hermione are waiting." He mumbled as an excuse before hurrying to the hospital wing, when he burst into the room it was while the Weasleys were visiting- after much argument Madam Promfrey allowed Mrs. Weasley to bring her family to visit her children.
"Harry?" Hermione asked, arm clutching at her ribs as she sat up. "Who's the letter from?"
"Sirius." He answered numbly, making his way to sit on Ron's bed with the twins.
Hermione gasped, as did the others, but quickly asked. "But how? He's-" she cut herself off then restarted. "Where did you get it? What's it about?"
"Hagrid gave it to me- he found it in the cave he stayed in, the one Sirius stayed in during fourth year." He replied, studiously ignoring the gapping Weasleys and confused Neville. "I- I haven't read it, It's addressed to Professor Lupin also."
"Harry dear," Mrs. Weasley said kindly, overcoming her shock when she saw the distress on the teen's face. "I can send Remus a message to come here now if you like?" At his nod she brought out her wand. "Expecto Patronum!" A weasel patronus appeared,"Remus, come to the Hospital Wing as quickly as possible." The patronus nodded before scurrying off.
"What do you think is written?" Ron asked suddenly.
Harry shrugged, "Maybe nothing important- the last time he was near the caves was a year ago after all."
"But it's perfectly preserved," Hermione noted. "Even without care for a year- so it has to be of some importance."
Fred grinned, "Maybe it's instructions about a prank."
"Molly?" Lupin said, looking partially worried but mostly puzzled as he strode into the Hospital Wing. "What did you need?"
Mrs. Weasley indicated to the letter Harry held, "Hagrid gave Harry a letter addressed to the both of you- from Sirius."
Lupin paled rapidly, eyes latching onto the letter. "I-Is that so?"
"We were waiting for you to read it." Harry muttered, the twins shifting away to sit at the head with their brother as Lupin moved to sit by the feet with Harry. After a moment of silence Harry noticed that everyone was waiting for him to open the letter so, with the extreme care that usual came with dealing with bombs, he slowly opened it- reveling in the clean white paper filled with his godfather's handwriting- and started reading. "It says: Dear Moony and Prongslet,-"
"Prongslet?" Ron asked, frowning.
Lupin nodded absent mindedly. "It was our nickname for Harry when he was a baby, as his father was Prongs- Lily wanted to call him Bambi but James vetoed it, he thought it was too girly."
He continued resolutely, before anyone else could speak. "Dear Moony and Prongslet,
First off I should say that I am sorry for dying- but the thing is I'm not that sorry for dying, but rather I am sorry for leaving you both. It's most likely my fault anyways- everyone says I'm too reckless for my own good and I reckon my death would be proof of that. But, no matter, I did not write this for the reason of discussing my recklessness- rather, this is a clue.
This letter is only the beginning, you should know by now I wouldn't do something as dull as just sending a letter right? Think of this as a scavenger hunt, every time you solve the clue and go to the place- as my scavenger hunt won't be the searching for things but rather places- there will be another letter with another clue inside. The Letters will be the same as this, they will be revealed only in chronological order- to keep it interesting some even come with challenges- as this is the first letter it would be activated upon my death.
There is no time limit on the hunt, but I will warn you that they will refuse to open unless both of you are present- you two are my most precious people, I want you to be closer then just professor-student turned acquaintances. I want you to be there for each other because now I can't. Right, all sappy-morbidness aside, I will be giving you your first clue.
Here I am, here I remain.
Season come, season change.
Midnight classes, midnight passes.
Look up to see me then down for my reflection.
- Sirius Black
Ps. As a warning, not all are so close!"
"There's more.." Lupin said, shacking his head.
Hermione frowned, "Where do you look down for a reflection of yourself?"
"It might be literal," Fred pointed out.
"Midnight classes- the only class we have that late is Astronomy." Ginny pointed out.
Lupin nodded stiffly, "I'll go check and bring it here if we're right." With that he strode from the room.
"What's with him?" Ron asked, disgruntled.
"This isn't easy for him Ron," Mr. Weasley said. "For years Remus was all alone due to his er, problem, and then he comes to Hogwarts where he makes friends who don't care only for them to either die or be as good as dead with in the same day. Then years later he finds he's been mourning and hating the wrong friends, but he reconciles with his lost friend and it's okay because he's no longer alone only for his friend- who is his only close friend- to die. The letters are almost like he's gained his lost friend back a second time- I'm worried about when the letters are all gone."
They sat in silence until Mrs. Weasley shook herself, "Arthur, we were suppose to meet Bill and Percy for lunch."
"Then let's go," Mr. Weasley replied after regarding his children and their friends for a long moment. "I believe they will be just fine."
Mrs. Weasley bit her lip but, as she hasn't seen her third eldest in months, follows her husband from the room. "I expect you to stay in bed." She told the injured students before closing the door.

Theme Song: Smile Ichiban Ii Onna by An Cafe
Sadistic Seme - An impossible match, as the Innocent Uke would run in fear at the first sight of the Sadistic Seme's evil smirking glance.
Chibi Seme - This seme and uke have more of a kohai/sempai relationship - the Innocent Uke looking to the wiser Chibi Seme for advice, though the sometimes teasing advice of the Chibi Seme often leads the Innocent Uke into trouble.
Romantic Seme - The Innocent Uke's sweet nature would bring out some of the best qualities in the Romantic Seme. The loving, protective side of the Romantic Seme would complement the Innocence of their partner, and make this a wonderful relationship.
Opportunist Seme - This match is somewhat compatible, as long as the Opportunist Seme balances out their tricky ways with genuine affection for their sweeter partner. It could also be a good learning experience for the Innocent Uke, to gain a little worldly knowledge.
Don't Fuck With Me Seme - Another impossible match. The dark intense stare of the DFWM Seme would send the Innocent Uke whimpering for cover... or should if they weren't too innocent to comprehend just what it implied.
Badass Uke - A classic kohai/sempai friendship here. The Innocent Uke should take care though not to be mesmerized by their Badass Uke friend so much that they try to push them into the seme role. Even though a Badass Uke may seem somewhat seme to such a gentle uke, they have no desire (and would never be satisfied) in acting the part of seme.
Dramatic Uke - These two are very unlikely to ever interact willingly...
Flaming Uke - A friendship could exist here, with the Flaming Uke being someone the Innocent Uke could go to for their more mature and experienced advice.
Clueless Uke - These two share many of the same interests (kitty ears and cupcakes anyone?) and could have a lasting friendship.
Innocent Uke- Can anyone say - Best Friends Forever!!
