At 0308 hours, 22 June 2015, MSgt SilverDollar began his next great adventure. We, the family, would like to thank you for your kind reviews. None of us feel qualified to answer for Dad (I would hate to have to answer to him later), but know each review is read and appreciated.
New Avatar loaded by Gunny Highway RIP Uncle you will be missed.
Please keep in mind that all of Ye Olde Dust Bin and Dreams and Their Results have been up for adoption since their first chapters were posted.
4/30/15: With the exception of "Starts and Stops" everything else is on hold. The old MSgt is under the weather and his son, me, decided to post things he started but hasn't finished. I'm sure I get my butt chewed for doing that but he can join a long line that includes Corporals to Generals, been there -- done that. Dad's currently in bad shape and barely able to communicate and for the most part none of us are willing to answer his reviews and the PMs he receives. Answering for him is a good way to tick him off for a long time. -- SFC CopperHead a.k.a. Snake
1/24/15: Had an interesting past few weeks. The good news is that we welcomed a new great-great-granddaughter into the family. The bad news is that I now sleep with a great-great-grandmother. The actual bad news is that I screwed up my right arm and doing things on the computer is slow and tedious. Doing things on my tablet isn't any better because I'm right handed. I should be back in operation in six to eight weeks if the good Lord is willing.
9/4/14: I want to thank all of you who have reviewed and/or sent PMs. Your prayers and comments are greatly appreciated. I wouldn’t wish losing a child on my worst enemy or even the dumb-ass flamers out here that need to get a life. Prior experience may help in a lot of things but losing a child is not one of them. Thirty-four and forty-five are too young to be going to meet your maker in my opinion. I'll be 75 shortly and am ready when the Lord calls. It’s been a good run and I got about 30 – 35 more years than I expected. I lived fast, hard, and expected to die young.
10/23/14: On 9/17/14, while sitting at a stop light, three cars back, my wife was struck in the rear totaling our only car. Since then we had to get another vehicle of course and I have been fighting insurance companies and a bank since then. August and September were not good months and October seems to be following the trend. I found Harry and John (renamed it Poppa John) and reviewing it and making spelling and grammar corrections. It's seems like I'll be fighting a bank to get information so my editing for today is shot in the butt.
I'm still reviewing some older USB drives and memory sticks for something to do that doesn’t require a lot of concentration. I'm not saying they’re old but three are 1 Giga Byte and five are 2 Giga Bytes. The other nine vary from 4 to 32 Giga Bytes.
A review of Chapter 21 of Ye Old Dust Bin sure makes my blood boil. It reads: Okay, her is the new one: I HATE YOUR GUTS! How could you subscribe such shitty story!? If you don't know that story will met fanfiction standards, don't write her! For f*k sake, man, chill out and find beta or two, really.
The idiot that wrote this apparently didn't read the fact that I stated that the chapters weren't betaed and were simply what they are nothing more or less. Crap like this caused PotterFanChuck to take his stories down and turn PM's Off and Robst to quit posting for awhile. My approach is simply to tell *685 to, "PISS OFF and find stories you like." I'll admit I make my share of grammar and spelling mistakes but to tell me I need a beta while writing like a four year old just don't cut it.
