01/30/2019 -- About the Aircraft the old man used:

He was the AWACS Senior Controller in Job Control the night the first E-3A tail #75-0557 landed at Tinker AFB (23 Mar 77). He got to debrief it, then control the maintenance necessary tor its next flight. He said he only had two jobs; get a safe airplane in the air on time, and cover the old man's ass. The fighters he chose were his personal favorites minus the P-51 Mustang, the Spitfite, the Gooney Bird and C-130 gunships. ~~Snake~~
