Hi. Um. About me. Um... awnej;r nwd
Hi! This is Fingon. I'm taking over because Mornen has been trying to write about herself for the past month or so and still hasn't gotten anywhere. I've been friends with Mornen for the past few years (ever since that incident with the Klingons [which my uncle, Galad Estel, and CrackinAndProudOfIt wish to remain a secret, I have been quite...gently...informed]). In that time I have found that she is quite a lovely young lady with a mean streak and a foul temperament when forced to deal with, as she so graciously put it, 'a bunch of idiots running around being stupid.' So maybe not so lovely. Ahem.
Mornen is an extreme introvert. She and I only began our acquaintance because I read a poem I had written and she discovered that we had something to talk about. After that, we went on quite a few adventures where I learned that to get her to talk you need to discuss subjects that are interesting to her and avoid small talk at all costs. Since she believes her mind is much more interesting than 99% of other people's conversations, talking about subjects interesting to her is a hard thing to achieve.
Just a moment.
Mornen, from her present incapacity, would like to inform you that she is not mean and not a snob, and that she does not find other people that boring.
To prove my point, I shall ask her about the weather.
Here is our conversation.
Me: So, how’s the weather?
Mornen: [deep sigh] It’s been bloody cold. You know that, Findekáno. Nobody cares about the stupid weather. Now, let me up!
I believe my point is now proven.
Mornen would like me to inform you that the weather is not other people and that she does, in fact, find other people very interesting. She says she studies psychology all the time because she finds people interesting. She also says that I am painting a poor picture of her, and she would like me to stop.
I, however, as her partially impartial pal shall now continue to good degree.
Mornen likes to take long walks and to go on runs and hikes. She loves the woods and any and all trees. She has a fondness for the wind, and is in love with water. She is also (almost alarmingly) enamoured by fire.
She likes baking and cooking and has had many, many successful achievements in baking. Baking is one of her ‘back up plans’ for life. (She does not have practical back up plans for life.)
She is currently a senior at university, double majoring in Fine Arts and English because she thought that would be a realistic approach to life. She is currently working on a funny film and a depressing novel. She believes this should add a bit of balance to her life.
She likes watching old movies, having deep, long conversations, cuddling, attacking people (aka wrestling), jumping, being picked up, picking other people up, dancing, acting, listening to music, whomping people with pillows, and, of course, reading and writing.
She is also very short, which I find adorable. She finds it annoying that I find it adorable because no one ever takes her seriously and just calls her cute. That is actually an accurate representation of her life.
Mornen has just informed that she is, ‘going to kill me,’ but as I am much more skilled in fighting than she, I would have none of you worry.
Thank-you for your attention, that is all I have to say about Mornen right now. I shall update if any other particularly interesting (read as embarrassing) bits of information come to mind. I am now going to go eat a bowl of what she calls ‘worms in dirt’ which is supposed to be a dessert and not actual worms in actual dirt, although from the look she is giving me right now I would be worried that it were actual worms in actual dirt if not for the fact that it is the middle of winter and the ground is frozen solid.
Farewell and may the stars that shine in your eyes not blind you!
p.s. An embarrassing update! Mornen talks to herself when she writes. A lot. And she mutters.
p.p.s. Mornen would like to add that she takes story requests, will read your story (pretty much any kind) if you ask her to, and will answer (most) questions you might have.
