(What? People read these things!? I guess I'd better write one up, quick!)

Yo!

I like many things, such as eating food, playing video games, watching various shows, cartoons and anime, reading (I think I read too much), programming and math tends to be enjoyable most of the time, swimming and riding my bike, and petting cats (SO MANY CATS!).

I also dislike many things, particularly homework, chores, stories that basically can not be read, and waking up before Noon.

I'm a fan of far too many things to easily list here, especially with no spoiler buttons to help manage the sheer size of the list.

Okay, I feel a need to put this out here.

You know how in pretty much any fan community, there are a number people who complain excessively about some pairing(s) or another, right? And frequently, they will say something like, "Naruto x Hinata is soo overdone, you should change it!"

You know those people.

Why the hell should the author change the pairing? Just because you don't like it or think it's overdone? If you really don't like it, then find something else you would prefer to read, or even try your hand and writing one yourself.

And regarding the whole 'overdone/cliche' thing, it doesn't matter too much whether we're talking about a pairing or some standard convention, it's probably because people like reading about that sort of thing. So what if it really is overdone and cliche? It's still fun/interesting/amusing/(whatever) to read about. If it's not your thing, again, there are plenty of stories somewhere on the internet*.

Most, if not all fanfic writers write for fun (and most likely NOT profit), out of their own free time, and get pretty much nothing in return except maybe some respect and praise from readers. So please, try not to complain too incessantly.

Also, why is it that there are so few good fanfics for Ranma? Especially crossovers fics. WHY?
