Fiction is only worth writing if it climbs into the ring and deals with the big boys--life and death, pain and suffering, joy and work. Doesn't mean all must be angsty, of course. Though I like canons under roses.

What does that mean for fan fiction writers? For one thing, it means have fun, of course, always, but also ask the big questions, the hard questions, too.

I don't in the least think that means little parts of life aren't important. Quite the opposite. The little things lead to the big questions in the subtlest of ways.
