I don't want this moment, to ever end. Where everything's nothing, without you. - Sum 41, With Me.
I'm new to fanfiction, and am excited to explore the community. I've been lurking around the site visiting the pages for all my favorite pairings, and writing anonymous reviews. I finally decided to make an account to get my own writing up here and see what people think!
Disclaimer: None of the pairings or subjects I write about are my own. All characters and property go to respective owners.
Loves: ChuckandBlairBlairandChuck. Arthur/Eames, Arthur/Ariadne, Arthur. My family. The Triple Crown (as well as the rest of horseracing). Coldplay's entire musical life. The Manhattan skyline at night. Breakfast at Tiffany's. Malted milk balls. Man o' War. Sum 41. Nostalgia. Voluminous curls. Anything having to do with The Great Gatsby. The Roaring Twenties, Depression-era dramas, forties love affairs and modern day luxury. Golden retrievers. I love watching the yellow taxis dot the grey Manhattan streets, and anytime Moon River floats through the air I get teary.
Hates: People who live false lives. Ashley Wilkes. Anyone who plows over other's opinions. Cheap hotels. Passion without love - it doesn't exist. Denied feelings. Self-riteous sinners. Weak handshakes. Cancer. Caked-on makeup. People who say they're your friends, then act like your enemies. People who can't look beneath the surface of others and judge by appearances, not character. ...Tom Buchanan. Who really likes him?!
I'm a chocolate-eyed curly-haired future New York Times reporter/best selling novelist. If I'm away from a large city for more than a month at a time I start to get restless. I have crushes but aspire to a great love. To me writing is like breathing: necessary to life, rich, beautiful. If I couldn't write every day I wouldn't be fulfilled. Over the years I've come to see that the job of the writer is to make the reader feel: happiness, sorrow, pain, passion. I hope to instill a feeling in every reader that reads a vignette of mine, no matter the subject. Reviews make the world go round - if you love (or hate) something about one of my pieces, let me know! I have to admit taking criticism is not a strong point of mine, but I'm getting better. Tell me how you really feel about my writing and I'll love you!
Amortissement - French for "redemption." C/B will inevitably crash against rock bottom, but they will also help each other up. Please review!
Illustrations in Charcoal - if Blair was a writer, Chuck would probably make a good muse. I know the title refers to drawing, but writing is art too. Please review!
As Something Unattainable Lingers - Gatsby, Daisy and Jordan through Nick's honest eyes. He might even learn a bit about himself. Please review!
