Basic information
I usually go by Rose or Rosie (and strongly prefer them) but don't particularly mind other nicknames based on my online aliases-see below. Anyway, I'm an autistic British Asian, female (she/her pronouns) and I'm a part-time library assistant and teaching assistant. The other ways to reach me are as follows:
FictionPress- I use the same name for this account on there. (not that active)
Tumblr- I go by the username aki-chan2014 (semi-active)
Anime Planet- I go by the username 'LateFragment2016' there (rarely active)
Discord-TheRoseShadow21#4041 (fairly active, preferred form of contact)
Twitter[email protected] (semi-active)
I also have an AO3 account, where I have the same username and which I am mainly using for the purposes to cross-post a number of my fanfics (as FF will, for now, be the main site for anything I write and publish). The works that I am currently cross-posting/have cross-posted are:
-Our Ghosts Return
-Luciform
-The Weight of the Light
-Breathe Into Life
-And the Rest is Rust and Stardust
-Omniferous
-That Kingdom Called Childhood
-Repeat?
-The Song of the World
-This Is Our Answer
-We Are Your Shadows
-Longer than a Year
-Lone Star
-They Were Their Own Gods
-The Night, Of Course. The Night

-The Holy and the Broken
-This Is Our Ship
Blanket Permissions Statement: I am generally fine with people making podfics, fanart and so on of my fanfictions. The thought that someone might be inspired by something I've written is a honour. However this comes with a few caveats.
First, anything that is also cross-posted on AO3 is fine to use without prior permission regardless of when it was posted, and as for anything that is still only posted here I would prefer you to ask, especially for anything posted and completed prior to the first half of 2015.
Second, that I am credited wherever it is you post the podfic/fanart. Also send me a link when you're done so I can enjoy your work! My contact details are already on this profile and I would say if you can't DM me on this site the first port of call is my Discord and then my Tumblr or Twitter. If you're posting to AO3 you can use the 'inspired by' field.
Third, Do not use my work for commercial/monetary purposes.
Fourth, Unless you are translating into a different language please do not repost or reblog my works.
The fics I write:
As you'll have noticed I've written a lot of fics for a lot of different fandoms over the years and I'm not about to stop any time soon (at least, not if I can help it). Most of these are for various anime/manga/game series, though you'll notice some of the miscellaneous fanfics are for various entries in CBs (chorus battles- a type of singing/animating competition that is organised by the Youtaite community). Although I'm not completely, technically a part of that community I do enjoy watching them and have been doing so for a few years, though it's only more recently that I've engaged more actively as an audience member-one of my favourites that I've watched is Kawaakari Chorus Battle (KACB). And for the most part I really am just an audience member/spectator of CBs although I am starting to participate in groups as the story-writer. I was the group Tithonus for CXCB, though we did not get past R1-incidentally, I am continuing the writing of the story started in the first round (note 04/01/23: this continuation is currently on a hiatus but I do hope to go back to it at some point. eventually) and posting it on FictionPress and AO3
Anyway as for style and type, it varies wildly but I like writing about character relationships, especially how they may continue on after the events of a series in question (which is why a lot of one-shots are of the 'epilogue' variety). I've done the occasional poem and drabbly-ish one-shot, and I'm also big into SYOC (Submit your OC) fics. Which means that naturally there's a lot of angst in my fics but also plenty of fluff. Just feels in general. Though I'm not above putting silly scenes into my stories where I think they fit, one thing I don't really do is crack fics. They're just not my thing though obviously nothing against people liking that kind of thing.
Update rate: Typically speaking I do try to update on a semi regular basis. However, since at the moment I have more than one multi-chapter thing on the go this may not always be the case, especially once/if I become busier again...
Do I take fic requests?: Currently, no, and this is not likely to change. I will update here if I do change my mind, however.
Some anime I enjoy(ed): Hamatora/RE: Hamatora, Akuma no Riddle, Danganronpa (including Danganronpa 3), Assassination Classroom, Persona: Trinity Soul, Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso, Innocent Venus, 11eyes, Akagami no Shirayukihime, Noragami/ Noragami ARAGOTO, HaruChika, Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni Umatteiru
K Project/ K Return of Kings, Boku Dake ga Inai Machi, Hibike! Euphonium, Hiiro no Kakera, Nagi no Asukara, Zankyou no Terror, Subete ga F ni Naru, Shin Sekai Yori
Non Non Biyori/ Non Non Biyori Repeat, Amaama to Inazuma, Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai, Another, Yamada-kun to Nana-nin no Majo, Fukumenkei Noise, Sakurada Reset, Juuni Taisen, Mahoutsukai no Yome, Koi wa Ameagari no You Ni, Gakuen Babysitters, Kotaro Lives Alone
Manga I've particularly enjoyed/am enjoying: To Your Eternity, Assasination Classroom, The Gods Lie
((Even though my Anime Planet account is fairly inactive I know I've got a larger list of anime and manga I've read and watched for anyone curious))
TV series that I've enjoyed: NCIS,Broadchurch, The Sarah Jane Adventures, The Ice-Cream Girls, Get Even, I May Destroy You, Giri/Haji, The Missing, DNA, The Valhalla Murders, Craith (in English the series is called Hidden), Pretty Little Liars, Waking the Dead, ERASED (live action Netflix series), The Pact, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Malory Towers, Move to Heaven, Keeping Faith (in Welsh the series is called Un Bore Mercher, translating to One Wednesday Morning), Signal, Witch and Court

Other Status Updates:
05/05: 'What on earth is Our Ghosts Return?' I may hear you asking. Well, if you don't know already, you will just have to wait and see! I'm hoping to have it up and running between 10th and 12th May, if not then during the last week of the month! Keep your eyes peeled!
22/05:Thank you for the submissions so far! I am so grateful for the ones that I have got, but overall it's not many. I know it's a long deadline and still relatively early days, but I'd definitely be grateful for more to come in.
Also, I'm gonna possibly allow a few more Victim submissions than initially planned. I will also allow maybe one Victim-Victim duo as well as those who are duos with OCs of other roles (though I'd prefer the latter). However, it is still a 'special' role that you will need to request one way or another, as per original rules.
02/06:As you can see, I'm gradually beginning to accept characters now. Congrats to these people, and if you're not one of them, don't worry-as long as spots for your roles are still open, you are in with a chance, no matter when you sent them!
30/6: I've made some more cast selections! As said in the sneaky, the next selections will be made much closer to original deadline. But anyway, while you can still send any type of character you want, I'd personally prefer not getting any father-daughter duos for now, and I'd be interested in seeing some male Victims or Survivors. But yeah, keep them coming :)
19/07: I'd prefer not to get any more SHSL Talents relating to the arts/media/performance anymore (regardless of whether they are Survivor, Victim or Prospective), but anything else goes as long as it doesn't break the rules that are in the prologue. Also for Investigators, I would prefer not to have any whose roles are similar to the two I have already accepted.
21/7: The deadline is going to have another extension, by one week, so the new deadline is the 28th July. The thing about 'as long as it's that date in your timezone' thing still applies if you are in a later timezone to me, but yeah, the new, and FINAL deadline is the 28th. I will not be extending it after this.
As for things I am looking for, mostly I will know it when I see it, but also I am interested in potentially receiving Survivors who were more on the side of the promise made and who may even have suggested it. That, and the various preferences about characters I would like to get/not get as above still apply.
28/7: Not really an important status update, but it is 10:30 in the morning here and I would just like to let you all know that there are so many amazing Survivors it's gonna be so hard to choose them!
29/7: As you can see, the submissions are closed and I am slowly working on choosing final cast members. Thanks so much to all of you who submitted! I will reveal the proper cast lists as soon as I can!
02/08-With the exception of a couple of Victims, the cast is basically complete now. Thank you so, so much to everyone who did take the time and effort to submit-I appreciate it all, and I am sorry if you didn't make it-it got pretty tricky to choose towards the end!
There will obviously be a bit of a teething period while I get into the rhythm of this story, but the general aim is that both this story and ASIB will update roughly once a month each. This might increase during school holiday times though. But of course, if there is going to be a foreseeable situation where I might not be able to update either for a very long time, then I will put it either as a status update here or for the ASIB updates just underneath here. Either way, I hope you'll enjoy this story too!
20/09-In terms of actual writing, this fic is going to go on the backburner for a while as I've been neglecting ASIB for a while and that's unfair to the story and the readers of the story. But, what I will do is start to make chapter-to-chapter plans for OGR to make things easier for once I do start actually writing it again (probs during October half-term). However, this is going to be somewhat slowed by the fact I am starting my retake placement on Monday and as such I will be busy and tired.
14/02/2020-you will obvs need to remove the brackets but the joint server link is https(://)discord(gg)/BSnKU3w)
19/04/2020-Sorry, I've been neglecting OGR in comparison to ASIB. I'll try to fix that, but I'm in a bit of an ASIB swing in terms of writing so, well, we'll see. It's definitely still going though, don't worry about that.
09/07/2020-This one applies to ASIB as well, but basically, I've not been so good at keeping on top of review replies so I apologise if I haven't replied to any reviews recently. I have seen them though, and do appreciate every one, but yeah...I'm just not so great at remembering to reply these days! I will try to keep on top of that though.
05/11/2020-Another one that applies to ASIB too, but basically it might be a while before the next updates partially because of an unrelated one-shot collection I've been working on that's really grabbing my attention (though to be fair it is almost finished) but also because of the problem this site is having with syncing chapter updates. Once the one-shot collection is done though I will be working on these, so hopefully when the problem is fixed it won't take too long for me to update one of them.
18/01/2021- OGR is going on a semi-hiatus that I am currently estimating will last until late July/early August but could finish a bit earlier or a bit later depending on when I finish the side project that is prompting the hiatus, as well as other factors in my personal life.
12/06/2021-Although new updates will not be coming for a while, I am beginning to cross-post this story on AO3!
26/08/2021-The hiatus is officially removed! Thanks for your patience all this time!
