praus: 1.) (Greek) a calming of excitement produced by passion; a moderated temperament of soul 2.) a mash-up of my two favorite Hetalia characters: Prussia and Austria
By day, I am a hack graphic designer with dreams of one day going freelance. By night, I am a fanfiction writer. Hetalia has completely invaded my brain leading to (more) nights of sleeplessness staring at a computer screen while my vision shifts in and out of focus. When it comes to Hetalia, it's the Germanic nations FTW! I love reading/writing Austria, Prussia, and Germany, though I will occasionally branch out from these three.
Austria and Prussia are, obviously, my OTP...and no, I will never ever write a fluffy AustriaxPrussia fic. It's strictly hateship! or bust.
Germany/Austria is my guilty pleasure pairing, though sadly there seems to be a lack of fanwork for this pair :(
I am slowly getting into the whole Germancest thing. I still prefer fluffy, brotherly fics to the slash (unless it's extremely well written.)
Other fandoms/series I enjoy are Dr. Who, Farscape, Sherlock, Battlestar Galactica, Cowboy Bebop, and Chuck.
My style/genre - Despite my dirty and bizarre sense of humor, I am a sucker for hurt/comfort and angst, though I will write a light-hearted fic or two. My stories are usually rated T or higher due to content - smex, language, violence, alcohol and nicotine use and other possible drugs.
I try to research nearly everything I write, so updates from me tend to be a bit slow (oh who am I kidding? My updates are glacially slow!) as I tend to get sucked in to whatever I'm researching (which then leads to drawn out arguments with myself whether or not to sacrifice fact for artistic liberty. What can I say, I'm a Capricorn.)
I has Livejournal nao? Yes, I do! Mostly just for general blogginess, but I will continue posting/updating my fics here as well as there.
