Welcome to Cranberry Knight-XIII's profile!
I mainly write for my own entertainment and love seeing reviews. Someday I would hope to see one of my stories become the reality of a game, but until then, I will continue writing. Thanks for dropping by!
UPDATE 1/7/2015: I've returned.
New story for the new year: I published a new story for Fatal Frame IV, I Can Feel A Song. Short and sweet, it's a horror short about Madoka attempting to play the Tuskimori Song atop the lighthouse as the Vessel draws near. Creepy writing indeed.
Troubling review: I noticed a new review from an "anonymous" user for my Bayonetta story, The Witching Hour. I have my suspicions as to who it was given the date of the review, but please, I do not deserve your hate. If you perceive my writing to be that good, then work to surpass it; stooping to trolling isn't in you, my friend.
Enjoy your stay in my world of FINAL FANTASY...where nothing is impossible.
The only novelization of FFXIII I've come across...my own! Lengthy, in-depth, and full of my own character moments, this is the story that is FINAL FANTASY XIII. I can promise you no one is ever out of character and the reason between the long update absences is to ensure that I only write my best. The last update was about six months ago, and this project will probably go on for about ten years, I'm really not kidding. Spanning hundreds of chapters, I intend to write this at my own pace, a dedication to the game that changed by life like no other Final Fantasy or video game before it.
IN THE ABYSS
Crona: The main character of our tale. She has dark, brown hair and usually wears a blood-stained black cloak with the hood pulled down. She has the skills of a master archer and can wield a sword with ease. She also has a hidden talent that cannot be uncovered in Milites. After the death of one of her beloved friends, Crona has been waiting for the chance to escape Milites and travel abroad to find the answers to her questions and hunt down the man who murdered him.
Rokuro: Can't say much right now, other than another O.C. in the story.
Luca: One of Izana's friends in Suzaku's magical militia. He is definately the powerhouse of the group, due to his immense strength and will. He has jet-black hair and and dark purple eyes. He is 19 years old. He likes showing his strength off.
Kytes: A shy boy that tags along with Izana as a new soldier. He has a boyish face with brown shaggy hair and brown eyes. He is 14 years old. Due to his small size, his nick-name is "Pipsqueak". Despite his small size, however, his Blizzard spells pack quite a punch.
Sarai: The most intelligent of the group, Sarai is the strategical thinker of the boys, and he wins almost every battle because of his careful planning and judgement. He seems to have a knack for healing. He has blonde hair and brown eyes, with a small burn mark at the base of his neck. He's 20 years old.
Link: A calm young man who is not easily angered and always tries to make peace before relying on fighting. He has red hair and strange dark wine-red eyes that often captivate the hearts of girls. He is 18 years old, and is an expert on wielding a sword.
Saracen: An obnoxious young man who never thinks before he speaks. He loves to tease Izana. He has bright white hair and perfect white teeth, and shining green eyes. Saracen tends to cast a lot of Firaga spells without much thought, and because of this, some people often call him a "pyromaniac". He is 18 years old.
I am working very hard to make this a truly epic experience. This is the story of Etro's Guardians, spanning the very timeline of the universe as Cloud and Lightning fight to protect the world from falling into a sea of chaos. Trust will be tested, powers will be forged, and answers will prove false.
Worlds Collide in Cloud's point of view.
THE UNGUARDED FUTURE
Eomer, captain of the Rohirrim, sends not only Lightning to accompany Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli on their travels. Soon, they learn that she is none other than Thanduril's (I think that's his name) lost daughter. She escaped the forest of Mirkwood and made her way to Edoras, where she was raised by one of the common villagers. She now sits as Eomer's second in command in the Rohirrim. Eomer speaks of her skill as the Nazgul-slayer.Later, Gandalf the White senses her great power and sends her to the Ring Bearer, for he knows Gollum is following Frodo and Sam. Can Lightning change the fate of the War, or will she fall to her doom in Mordor? As the War of Middle Earth rages on in Minas Tirith, Lightning must help Frodo to destory the Ring, and keep herself alive in the process.
A series of chapters and one-shots set in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. The story follows Lightning, Lumina, and Hope as they race to save the world before the doomsday clock shatters, both coming into conflict with each other, their fellow neighbors, and trying to find out just what they are fighting for.
1. Black Blinding
"I thought I had achieved our Planet's rightful peace and serenity, accomplished what I'd failed to do those years ago...Sephiroth destroyed, the Remnants vanquished, and a world left in darkness and ruins. So, we started to rebuild. I'll admit, things went smoother than I thought. What with Tifa running the bar night and day and my own delivery service doing well, who knew we'd have time to laugh, to finally relax? Then she came. Her name was Lightning. Sergeant Lightning Farron, I should say. She came through a time gate, a connecting portal to entire other universes, and with it, the Chaos. I shouldn't have trusted her, should have killed her then and there."
"But you did not. Why?"
He suddenly gripped his forearm in pain, feeling the familar band of black ribbon tightening across his bicep and shutting off all bloodflow. It singed his flesh, searing Freyja's malevolent terror into the muscle of his arm, exposing it...yet he refused to admit it, to stand down, to give up.
And she...she, the muse he once belived to be the loving goddess of the world, she simply tipped his chin upwards and smiled into his contorted face.
"My child, fear not. Soon enough, everything you cherish will vanish, and all there will be left is I standing before you."
