Author has written 12 stories for Emergency, and Hawaii Five-O.
October 2014: Never fear, "As We Go" has not been abandoned. Real life chaos and mayhem not only piled higher and higher as the summer continued but were saddled with extra high dosages of Urgent! Get This Done Now Or We Will All Die! *sigh* I thought that was why Time existed - so that not everything happened at once. Fear not, Gentle Readers, the remaining chapters - still being written, mind you - really will see the light of day, as soon as I can claw my way out of this Heaping Pile of Chaotic Madness and reunite with my Muse, who has probably stalked off by now and lying on some hidden paradise beach with a mai tai and a very handsome fire captain...
June 2014: Work s. l. o. w. l. y. continues on "As We Go," uncooperative fire captains and increasingly frustrating, hair-tearing descents into madness events of health and Life, notwithstanding (seriously; you have no idea...). Couple chapters done so hopefully after some tactical logistics are worked out, the rainbows will glow, the unicorns will prance and Bob will be everyone's uncle.
January 2014: Happy New Year! Work is progressing on "As We Go". Have no definitive posting date as of yet, but rest assured, the story has not been forgotten. As I mentioned earlier, my plan is still to finish the story in its entirety before any chapters are posted.
At the moment, I am considering that once the immediate next chapter (12) is posted, I will leave it for 4-6 weeks to allow peeps to re-read previous chapters to refresh their memories, if they so wish. From that point, the remaining chapters will be posted in 2-week intervals.
I know some are waiting in agony and I both extend my apologies (as this long a wait to finish the story was certainly not in my original plan) and my gratitude for your patience and understanding.
May 2013: Many many thanks to everyone for your wonderful thoughts on "A Kind of Fire". It means a lot to me that you have enjoyed it. And, of course, thank you for taking the time to read it and for your extraordinary patience as I battled Life to finish the story. Indeed, it was my full intention to have it finished within months of having started it, however, I can say with certainty that the final result is far above what I had originally envisioned, and so to that end I can only hope that for you, gentle readers, it was worth the wait.
Now begins my focus on "As We Go". My plan is to finish it entirely or in its near-entirety before I post the remaining chapters, so it will be quite a while - months - before a new chapter appears. Fear not, the story will not be abandoned, but at least the chapters won't be so long in the waiting!
I will post updates here as they happen.
Fun Writing Thoughts (these just make me laugh):
- Capitalization is the difference between:
helping your Uncle Jack off a horse
- Commas are the difference between:
eats shoots and leaves
- Favorite writing quote: "I'm a writer. I FUCKIN' MADE IT UP!" - Michael Norell (this cracks me up every time, 'cause I can just hear him saying it)
