Author has written 14 stories for Dragon Age.
Hi all :)
Just like almost everyone who has an account on this site, I'm here 'cause I love both writing and fandoms. Actually, just one fandom in terms of writing, which is Dragon Age. I'm talking about both games and books here (yes, I'm sort of a bookworm too). Maybe one day I'll write about other fandoms too, but for now that's how it is.
To me, writing in English is also a pleasant way to keep myself to keep English in practice, since it's not my mother language.
I'm also fond of music and musicals, so don't be surprised if some story titles recall the one of a song; or sometimes even themes from one or the other musical.
So, Dragon Age fans... A bit of what you will and won't find amongst my stories :)
What you won't be likely to find on my stories' list
I'm a bit of a "weirdo" amongst Dragon Age fans. Mostly because - I'm gonna admit it - I'm not that crazy about Alistair, or Leliana. Yep. Please, don't hate me :) I'm not saying there won't be any Alistair or Leliana at all. It simply means that they won't probably be the main characters, and they will be mostly hardened.
Other types of stories you won't find here: extreme fluff and smut-centered stories. Extreme fluff causes me diabetes, and smut, to me, is a mean to convey a meaning, an emotion, a character's development.
Long, multi-chaptered stories are not that frequent. They require the sort of planning life doesn't always allow. However, I'm publishing one now, so yep, even though the majority of my stories are one-shots or made of two, three chapters.
Almost nothing specifically about Inquisition yet. I didn't have the chance to play the game yet.
What you will be likely to find on my stories' list
Angst, tragedy, impossible love stories, characters put into ordeals that are almost sadistic. This is my "field on specialization" if we talk fanfiction. Even when they get a happy ending, the characters I write have sweated blood to gain it.
I love character development, so I always try my best in having "my" characters reach the end of their development arch.
I'm fond of dark/misunderstood characters: a troublesome Warden, Zevran, Loghain, Morrigan, Isabela, just to name some as an example. I love exploring their depths and portrait them showing sides of them not commonly depicted. It could either be their reasons to be kind-of-wicked or a gentler side of them. You can add to the list minor characters with the same quality (i.e. Jowan). I also like to put goody-goodies in contact with their dark side, and watch them fight it, embrace it or even come to terms with that. I'm fond of Cullen too, as almost the only exception to the rules :)
The majority of stories are not extremely long.
As for the setting, my stories for now are set into DAO and DA2 universes.
So, to the ones who share my sympathies in terms of themes and characters - or the ones who are merely curious and wish to take a look at what I write: I hope you will enjoy my stories :)
Many many thanks to mosomacilany for her fanart inspired by my Broken Locks, Twisted Dreams. She lovingly draw my Neria Surana and Loghain, the main pairing of the fic.
Be sure to check up her story A Girl on Fire. It's really amazing!
