Status: On indefinite hiatus after the ridiculous amount of words I squashed out in five days, right before New Years. smoke and mirrors will be updated whenever I feel like it ought to be (meaning: updates are slow but still being worked on!!)
About Lady Paprika
Selfish, know-it-all, mean and obnoxious. Everybody who knows her hates her, probably because she's just too fabulous for them.
She writes stories because she's like one of those people you see at a typewriter, bleeding all of their feels all over a keyboard at 2 AM in the morning. Except she never looks like hell and she doesn't have any feelings. (One, two, or all of what you've just read may be a lie.)
If you like bullet lists because they're fun and cool and shiny:Twenty-two so that makes me really old and geezer-y
I need glasses or contacts. LASIK'd my eyes, so hopefully never again. I identify with feminism and grrl power, and do not tolerate any form of injustice Hipster. All my friends on here hate hipsters so they will say I am not, but I listen to Arcade Fire, The National and Phoenix so I mean yeah Dangan Ronpa/Super Dangan Ronpa 2 is a huge part of me So is Fire Emblem: Awakening So is Bravely Default, if I ever finish it finished it, cried through it. I'm brown - like literally brown, like look at my skin, it's brown (It's actually Indian.) I'm Muslim in that, I wear scarves and will scream Arabic at you if you get too close, kind of way. (Nope.) I do not understand Arabic. I'm completely, ridiculously, absurdly boring. Please be my friend except I also hate people so I don't know I never use correct SPaG unless I write stories and essays and I apologize as all my sentences aside from stories and essays are complete run ons. I'm mostly stupid, but I have my moments where I'll astonish myself in how brilliant really I'm a kick-ass writer okay. (I act like I know it too and I do apologize for that bc I may come across as an asshole)
If you'd like more information I do have a tumblr: juniper-spicehead (Disclaimer: I am an annoying tumblr-er. A n00b too, so tread cautiously.)
Disclaimer on all my reviews and yes, this is a rant too:
Lately, I've been getting requests to review people's stories. Look, I'm going to be blunt - I criticize pretty harshly especially if somebody asks me for a review (Unless I don't have time to get into the nitty-gritty of it). I apologize in advance, but seriously do not come to me if you want to be mollycoddled. I will give you my honest opinion and even though I often do it with a friendlier attitude than say, flamers, I will leave a long review breaking down your story. I do this because I wish somebody would do the same to me. If you can't handle it - do not ask me.
I review the following things - Characterization, storytelling, narration, as well as SPaG (Spelling, punctuation and grammar) and other miscellaneous stuff. I do not consider myself a grammar Nazi (Though I've been labeled as one more than once), but I expect people to have a grasp on the English language. If you do not and I tell you how to correct something, then don't whine about it. It's a story for heaven's sake and to write a story you need to know how to write in the first place. If you disregard it, that's fine. But honestly, getting butt hurt over something that you requested from me in the first place, is really not a mature attitude especially when I've taken the time out to review something that again, you have requested from me.
So there you are. If you still want to request a review from me, then go ahead. I'm only too happy to oblige. Reviewing is a learning process to me just as much as writing is when it comes to telling a story.
Status of My Ongoing Stories:
Whodunit? - ON INDEFINITE HIATUS.

Currently one of the most popular forums to date in Fanfiction is Reviews Lounge, Too, a great place that offers tips, games involving writin, and very kind people.
Loke Groundrunner - He likes Star Wars (evidenced by his pen name) He hates me though because I'm a hipster. Mysterious as the dark side of the moon. Tune4Toons - My sworn rival in contests (she's winning. I may hate her for this) She may be a brilliant writer, but I'll never admit it. We may have harem'd each other. Who knows. MessengerofDreams - He's not awful at all, I can't even pretend to hate him because it's hard. All I can do is bask in his glory and hope some of it rubs off on me. His username is very fitting. TheWordMasterOfFiction - I can't say anything horrible about her either. She's brilliant and crazy and that makes me jealous but I can't hate her because she's too nice about it. Archduke Langus - He's a little piece of shit and we have written things that will probably never see the light of day. He's as redneck as redneck gets and proudly flaunts it. Starship Artisan - My main boo. We send each other noodz quite frequently and she tends to prattle on about Fire Emblem: Awakening. We're sworn enemies when it comes to Cards Against Humanity and our love is tragic because she's Canadian. VocalFail - He has gr8 hair that puts mine to shame and he's an artist and it's like he says he's not talented but then like he does this thing where he beats you at like everything including his oh so obvious grammar skillz, some of which are gems. hylian-nerd - We shared a bed once and ever since then, we've been harem'd. You know that friend who never studies or tries hard at school but still knows everything? That's hylian-nerd. I hate her for this. The Stupendous Jimbo - My oldest friend on this site. I don't really need to elaborate on how much of an asshole this guy is, but I will say this: He is one of my dearest, oldest friends on here which is quite a feat, as I tend not to stick around for long.
Cool Awful People because everybody and their moms has one of these lists
(If I forgot to add anybody else, I'M SORRY.)
