Author has written 3 stories for Sherlock Holmes.
Hello there :)
I'm a huge Sherlock Holmes fan. It all started a few years ago after I saw the first Guy Richie movie, and since then I've devoured (and adored) the entire Canon as well as thoroughly enjoying both the ITV Granada and BBC TV adaptations. I love the characters of Holmes and Watson and the interplay between them. Sir ACD came up with one of the best partnerships of all time when he created these two, and I just can't get enough of it. I have even dragged my somewhat bemused friend's along to the Museum at 221b. Naturally I was thrilled by every aspect of it - thankfully they humoured me with great patience...
As part of this fanatical indulgence I have been reading SH fan fic on here for a couple of years. I'm a real sucker for anything which is well written, but my favourite stories tend to be those which explore the friendship between Holmes and Watson with a bit of action/drama and humour thrown in for good measure.
In a fit of creativeness I have tried to write a few things myself. I found that I love writing, but I'm afraid I'm rather slow at it at the moment, and I tend to get distracted by new ideas for stories all the time (the backlog of half written SH stories on my computer is really quite shocking...) I'm starting a writing course soon so hopefully that will help me write more quickly and structure my ideas more effectively!
In the meantime I love to read other peoples stories/one-shots/poems in this fandom. I now appreciate how much effort it takes to write anything half decent, and likewise how lovely it is to get some feedback from readers, so I try to post reviews for everything I read. I like to give praise and encouragement, however if I do have any constructive comments that could be seen as critical I tend to send PM's, simply because other's have been kind enough to do the same for me in the past and I thought it was really rather nice of them.
Needless to say I love to get feedback for my own efforts. I write for the fun of it and for my own pleasure, however it is always great to know if someone has enjoyed something I have written, its very rewarding and encouraging. Equally I am eager to hear any suggestions/comments or criticisms you might have, constructive or otherwise. I'm just starting out so I know there will be lots of room for improvement in my writing, and I would love to improve, so feedback of any kind really helps :)
NB: I had the previous penname of GoodbyeNemesis - but felt a change of name was in order. And to any followers of The Amorous Amnesiac...I know...I'm sorry...I'm awaiting the return of the muse...
