Personality: I'm fairly friendly, and love to talk to new people. I'm also the most sensible of my group of friends, mainly because I use something we like to call 'common sense'. I'm serious and down to earth, and am a Taurus (Sun - Western Zodiac). And an Earth Snake (Eastern Zodiac). The general assumptions are all true, for the most part. I'm very, very easy-going unless I'm in a bad mood. Then run for the hills because I'm just plain mean when in a bad mood, though I do try not to take it out on other people (please note the try). Also, in KHR terms I'm a classic Cloud and inverted Mist, with a touch of inverted Storm.
Born/lives: I'm a born and raised Californian, from a small town in the central valley. I now live in Minnesota. It is an interesting transition.
Age: 27 as of this last May...was born in '89
Note: most of the stories listed here are mostly so I have them listed somewhere. I'm terrible at keeping track of these things.
In the Works:
Of Pirates and Weddings:When the Strawhat Pirates land on a small island with their three new crew members they don't plan to stay long. Maybe long enough to rest a little and restock, but no longer than that (after all, Luffy has to become the Pirate King sometime before he turns 30) Enter the Strawhat Pirates' need to help those they come across after they meet two lovers from feuding clans. Can the Strawhats help these young lovers? And what was that about the forest god of the island? On very extended hiatus.
A Beautiful Lie (tentative): Lucci/Paulie story spanning from their meeting through and beyond the Enies Lobby Arc. Still researching. Any help would be useful. I need to learn something about ships and leopards. And figure out how I'm going to write Lucci as not a complete bastard (because he really, really pisses me off and makes me wonder about my sanity in writing a story where he's a main character). Side character Cat (Paulie's pet cat). This one might end up being my NaNo this year.
NaNoWriMo '09 project - Mad World (tentative): Silver Hunter's backstory. From her arrival at the monastery through her heading out for the island she meets Nixie on. Will cover her relationship to the Lunar Hunters as well as her connections to Marine officials (and why she calls Smoker her brother). Will eventually have mentions of Silver/X Drake (causal relationship). This one bloody well ran away from me faster than a spooked Arab. *mutters* Failed this NaNo, but it gave me a better grasp on my characters and setting. I'm looking forward to finishing this one. It's looking to be close to 80k words by the time it's done.
Unnamed: A more seinin look at Naruto, including politics at varying level, clan interaction, a look at how this kind of ninja society might actually work, etc. This is a pet project that will take a while. I want to explain this world so that it actually makes sense, and so that Naruto's treatment makes sense. That said, things will probably change some. They'd have to in order to make all of the information we're given in more recent chapters (500 on) make sense with how Naruto is treated by everyone, except the Hokage. I just don't have enough words for this. Feel more than free to pm me about this, or to drop me a friend request on Skype or something, because I need people to bounce world-building ideas off of.
Unnamed: This one would also be a little more seinin. The story of a young woman who was friends with, and distantly related to, Kushina. A chance meeting in the forest near her home during a storm makes her realize that Naruto isn't just named to honor her cousin's child, but is that child. It quickly ends up with a very young Naruto under the guardianship of his cousin, and he grows up to be the same person, but with a solid foundation to assist in his growth. Or in other words, Naruto is Naruto even when raised by a family member, though he probably won't cling quite as hard to his first team bonds, because they aren't his first bonds. He'll also probably have better analytical skills, but his determination and kindness most certainly won't change.
Devil May Cry:
Unnamed: Dante/Nero. People are disappearing from existence and everything related to them disappears. The memories of those closest to them are mostly unaffected, but people that weren't close with the missing person lose all memories of them. There aren't even photographs left. Soon enough more and more people are disappearing. The very fabric of space/time is unraveling and it's up to Dante to save the world. Again. This time though, he'll need to call on every resource at his disposal.
NaNoWriMo '10: Pre-Dante/Nero. Nero's backstory and family history. Five years after the Savior Incident, Nero finally begins to wonder about his demon heritage. In trying to discover his parent's past, he finds out that he does in fact have family, and comes to realize that maybe his parents didn't die on that ill-fated hunt all those years ago. Now, almost twenty years after their disappearance, Nero starts to retrace his parents' steps in order to find out what really happened to them. Along the way he teams up with Dante and three beautiful ladies in a mission to save his parents. Story involves sister/mother/best friend Kyrie, meddling Trish, sarcastic Lady, flirting Dante, and a Nero with something to prove (to himself if no one else).
A Shameless Self-Indulgence: OC/self-insert in a Revolution/DCU cross-over fic dealing with magic and other things. Crystal Accalia (once bonded to Jason Todd, and later Dick Grayson) is a level 5 witch with some decent cross training. Moving to Gotham almost three years after her first bonded's death, she opens a small magic shop. A few years later, with the help of her "father-in-law" she flees from the insanity that Jason brings in his wake, their bond as strong as ever. She is the first level 5 magic user willing to sign on to help the military with the mages used by the terrorists the US's armed forces so often meet, and as such is allowed to join into a specially formed unit as a civilian expert on contract. There she meets both Miles and Monroe, and bonds with the two in a life or death situation (level five spells kill or break a magic user without at least two bonded guardians to lean on). Time passes. They are happy together, in their own way. On leave after a nasty mission leaves almost half their unit in recovery and two dead, the Blackout happens. 15 years later, Crystal stumbles into Miles and company only days after they leave Chicago. She is able to mend the broken bond between her and Miles, and gains more hints of what magic worked hand-in-hand with the Blackout to deprive the world not only of power, or of their heroes, but to shatter the bonds of user and guardian, leaving the world without its much needed protection. Now what can she do to save it? (This is a self-indulgence/what-if/fix-it fic. And the basic magic user-guardian magic set-up will probably end up used in an original piece somewhere.)
Unnamed: How would Revolution change with most of the population of the world capable of magic? Their gifts change the way the world works, even in darkness. How the story would change if everyone had a small but powerful gift.
Avatar: The Last Airbender
Unnamed: Katara/Zuko. Very, very dark and disturbing chronicle of their relationship. Covers each episode where Katara and Zuko meet and some interludes of Katara thinking. Very, very dark. I cannot believe I'm writing it. I probably won't post this one here if I ever finish it. (I started this in the middle of the Earth? book. Right after Zuko cut his hair.) It should be noted that I began writing this almost 10 years ago and will probably not go back to it.
Unnamed: Natsume/Mikan. Dark with heavy sexual suggestions. Takes place when they're a bit older. Mikan is clueless and Natsume is very, very possessive.
Unnamed: Natsu/Lucy. There are just some things Natsu takes for granted, such as the fact that Lucy is his, even if she doesn't know it. Being raised by a dragon has given Natsu very clear ideas about owning things (he had his own little hoard), and Lucy just wasn't getting it. Lucy starts dating someone and it makes Natsu very, very unhappy.
Unnamed: Gray/Lluvia. Lluvia loves Gray, but she doesn't really know him. When they go on a mission together it seems that destiny is smiling on Lluvia. She gets to be alone with the man she loves, but once she gets to know him will she still love him? Probably, but the real problem is getting Gray to see her as anything other than a friend. (Not sure about this one. If anyone wants to take a stab at it just PM me, 'cause I want to read this.)
Untitled: Dick Grayson/Jason Todd. The story of how Dick decided to show Jason that he was loved, and somehow along the way they fall into bed together. Eventually Jason comes to terms with his place in the Batfamily, and everyone teases Damian, because it's hard not to.
Untitled: The story of Crys who is soul-bonded to Jason Todd shortly before her sixteenth birthday, and widowed not six months after. She chooses to settle in the city Jason loved and hated to be nearer his memory. Her relationship with her in-laws develops, and she becomes good friends with her siblings-in-law. She also carves out a small territory around her magic shop and declares it neutral. Those who break her laws often regret it, and after a couple of years her territory is stable and known to be neutral and safe for everyone except, of course, the gang of the man who killed her bonded. Then Jason comes back and throws everything into chaos.
In the Shadow of the Moon: (Under some serious revision.)When Emerald moves into town she final begins to come to terms with her existence. Maybe, just maybe she'll be able to settle in one place; after all, there are more supernaturals in this town than there are non-supernaturals. This might be one of the only places for a mutt were- to survive.
Strange Occurrences: (Going to be completely rewritten. Now if only I could find my story notes.) First part of a trilogy. Demons invaded on Friday February 13, 20XX. Now the world is under siege, and a small group of young men and women might be all that will save one town from destruction. First to get to safety, second to make sure some people remained free, third to get them to listen to a bunch of twenty-somethings. Surviving will not be easy.
Org. 'verse: In a world where most humans are oblivious to the existence of the supernatural, a group of humans are kidnapped to feed a cult's pet rocs. Most of them make it out alive, and some of them decide that there needs to be an organization to help victims of the supernatural, no matter if the victims are human or not.
